I LOVED it! Rather than gush about it further, here's my review.

Do or Die is the first book in a spinoff series of Troubleshooters. There are are cross-over characters mentioned or with substantive roles who were minor mentions in Troubleshooters (TS). You can read this first book without having read TS but I'm not certain that will always be the case.

TS is heavy on suspense but the romances smoke. One of my most favorite series ever.

I put my favorite series under the best series one and used this section more for standalone books. Sorta dividing the wealth because it is sure hard to pick.

My absolute favorite trope is the second chance romance or lost loves reunited. The Sweet Gum Tree was an extraordinary representation of that wrapped up in a beautifully written story - absolutely adored it! Hope you enjoy The Professional as much as I did. IMO, it was KC's best work yet :)

Sandra, have you read Don't Let Go by Sharla Lovelace? It also made my 2014 Favorites list and was a fabulous second chance/lost loves reunited romance. It reminded me a lot of The Sweet Gum Tree as it was beautifully written with unforgettable characters. Jonetta, you may want to add that one to your TBR pile too :)
