I'll nominate a book I'd like to read that we had as a runner-up in September 2019 poll: Beloved
.
If others would like to consult our previous Second Chance Reads polls and pitch some runners-up, that'd be great! No big deal if we skip a Second Chance Read too!

Both excellent choices. Though, I still haven't read The Handmaid's Tale. Just the thought of it makes me angry but also anxious. When ever I think about reading it, my body starts to feel like a panic attack is coming on. I've never had a physical reaction to a book, that I haven't read, before. And after reading a fair few of Atwood's other books, I know that it won't end happy. "Must reads" are never happy. Bittersweet, possibly but never happy.

[If one of the other Mods wants to put up the Second Chance Poll sometime in July, please go for it!]
