I saw this over the New Year and am still a little mixed over it to be honest. On the one hand, I was expecting a new book adaptation as that was the way it was advertised on the BBC, which I felt was a little misleading as this isn't the case. It should have been noted as a 'based on' version rather than an adaptation. In many ways I enjoyed it and the twists on certain characters and the movement through time (I won't add too much in case others are still watching it!), but at the same time I felt something lacking (perhaps the original story) and certain parts of the tale weren't explained properly which made them come across rather contrived and pointless, and the ending felt rather weak. It was interesting to watch but I wouldn't watch it again.
Hmm... I have it in my watch list... Doesn't sound like a ringing endorsement. Stoked about the next season of the Ozarks coming soon!

I didn't see any of the advertisements on BBC but I thought it was going to be an adaptation of the book too. However I enjoyed it very much. I agree with you that the ending was weak. In fact, that entire third episode was weak in my opinion.
Oh, there might be a season two.

So who's been watching the new Dracula miniseries on Netflix, and what are your thoughts?
