YAY!!! I am glad someone is going to be reading along with me! Don't worry I literally just started reading it yesterday!
OH WOW you are a fast reader! I just got to the part where the uncle had kidnapped Lily and they are being attacked by goat like creatures! So far its a wonderful read!
One thing I felt is that I would have liked the introduction to have been a bit longer. But maybe I will fee different when I get more into the book. What did you think?

I'm a fan of jumping into the story pretty quick, but I think that's a reading preference. And I agree, the marauders are interesting, definitely intriguing read so far :)
I have gotten to the part where Jonquil and his men have returned all bloody and hurt... man this is where the book is really sucking me in! I also REALLY want to know all the secrets of the house!
Okay... why did you have to leave me hanging like that Allen Housten! This book ended so abruptly and left me wanting oh so much more! Will have to get the next one now!
I think what I loved most about this book is how macabre this book is but at the same time so beautiful. I love how the maids are a slug creature and a creature that sucks away happiness and the butler is a mummy! What great characters!

Agree!! I haven't finished it yet, but will be very soon. Its been a great adventure so far and I definitely enjoy the spin on the macabre and Pandora's Box!
Since the first book was so small I have started the second book and have decided to review them together! The second book has started off action packed!
That's an awesome idea! I just posted a quick review moments ago, glad to hear the second book carries on the adventure :)
Yes my feeling now is that the first book is really just to set the scene for the real story. I feel that the real story is Lily trying to find Pandora's box as the head of the house and Silas trying to stop all the issues occurring in the gardens. The first book did get some bad reviews because it ended so abruptly and was very short.. I think now that this was because it was just an into to a very good story.
Here is my review of the book: http://searchingforharry.com/book-rev...
I thought it was an excellent read!
