Secret Service Special Agent Ethan Burke is sent to Wayward Pines, Idaho to investigate the disappearance of two of his colleagues. Upon arrival in town, his vehicle is hit by a truck and he is severely injured. When he awakes from his injuries, he finds that his partner has died in the accident and that his wallet, weapon, and identification are missing. Soon, weird things begin to happen and Agent Burke begins to think that things are not what they seem in Wayward Pines.
I think that this type of thriller is not for me. I do not like it when nothing makes sense and everything is confusing. There was definitely a lot of action and suspense. Eventually the reader does find out what is going on and the answers are different than other similar thrillers I have read. I may continue the series though, since I now know what is going on I am curious to see where the author takes it.
