Rain Reign by Ann M. Martin is along same lines as the two books you mentioned, and is WONDERFUL!
Instead of planning a seperate 6th, 7th,or 8th grade summer reading list, I love the idea of having students, teachers, parents read the same novel that centers around kindness and friendship within the middle school setting. Something like Wonder or Fish in a Tree. Would love your recommendations! Thank you!
