Jo | 1094 comments I'm going to nominate Yellow Blue Tibia by Adam Roberts as I bought this recently and it's premise seems nicely strange.

Valyssia Leigh I might be too new here to nominate. I'm not sure if that matters. If so, just ignore me.

If not, check this: Calculating God by Robert J. Sawyer

I picked it up on the cheap and was very pleasantly surprised.

Anyone can nominate so i've added it to the list. Have to say seems quite an interesting idea so I won't mind if this wins the poll next month.

Zeynep (zonder) | 10 comments I would like to nominate Anathem by Neal Stephenson. It is not an easy read and might be intimidating to many here, but it is a fantastic & hugely influential book that deserves to be read.

Buck (spectru) | 900 comments The Lifecycle of Software Objects. I've read everything else that Ted Chiang has published, which isn't all that much. It ranges from good to outstanding.
