Hi there! I plan on doing. Just put holds on the 4 books in the great grandmother series. Will work my way up to laura’s series for the readathon. My mom read her series every winter. Great way to remember my mom.
I plan on starting with The World of Laura Ingalls Wilder by Marta McDowell, then moving on to The Life of Laura Ingalls Wilder by William Anderson. Hopefully I can get through those and then start on the Grandma series.

I own some other William Anderson books, but I hadn't heard of that one.
Howdy Elizabeth and everyone. Today I brought home from the local neighborhood library branch 'Pioneer Girl: The Annotated Autobiography' and 'Little House in the Big Woods'. I plan to read the latter book starting on Feb 7 and then continue with the larger annotated book to read through the 10th and probably beyond. Very nice readathon, Elizabeth. D

It will take me longer than four days to read though. I will also listen to Caroline by Sarah Miller on audio.

Looking forward to February already. The best. D
Hi, Elizabeth and everyone. Today I read 'Little House in the Big Woods'. Here is my review. This is the first in the Little House series; my first reading anything by this author. I loved the wonder of the five-year old, Laura, experiencing so many things for the first time. How hard her family worked; and how well they, extended family members, and neighbors worked to help one another. How treacherous things could be, but yet so rewarding with nothing taken for granted. Happy to have been able to be guided into this author by this challenge.
I'm reading The World of Laura Ingalls Wilder, so far its very interesting and I'm learning a lot about the prairie and her life.
I read Young Pioneers by Laura’s daughter Rose Wilder Lane the first day. Then started Caroline. I’m about half done with Caroline and I’m loving it! It’s like LHP for adults. 😊 I also have the annotated biography, Little House in the Ozarks, and A Wilder Rose by Susan Wittig Albert, Plus had gotten Prairie Fires by Caroline Fraser our from the library. I of course won’t get to all these, but had “Laura books” on my list of books to read for this year, already so hopefully will get to some of them!

How did you like Young Pioneers? I have it on my shelf along with the original version Let the Hurricane Roar, but haven't read either version. I've been trying to keep my eyes out for a copy of A Wilder Rose, but so far haven't been able to find it.
I just started Little House on Rocky Ridge last night. I had hoped to read it all this weekend, but got sidetracked with other things. I knew that 4 days wouldn't be long enough to read everything I wanted, but it's a good excuse to get them out and get started.
