I love Trask! I just wish he would hurry up and marry...is it Alice? My mind just went blank on her name. :P
TRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAASK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Ahem.
I love Trask! He's so awesome! I was thinking and he reminds me a little bit of Robbin Hood. Awesome guy who starts an illegal group in a green forest... :D He's so cool and adorable. The second I saw him I was like "I don't know who you are but I love you". <3
I was sure he was going to die there at the end. And I had already made up my mind that if he died I would give Resistance one star for a week in mourning for him and then give it its five stars. XD I'm silly. But I was so glad he didn't!!! (Jaye if you kill him off in later books you will have me to deal with. Just so you know.)
I think he should hurry up and marry Lady Anne too! Like right now before Jaye kills him or anything.
@Faith: Um until you said Alice I knew it was Anne. Then I had no idea and had to look it up. :P It's Lady Anne.
Well, considering he was inspired by Robin Hood, I'm not surprised that's who he reminds you of. I've always wanted to write a Robin Hood story, but I don't think I'll actually get to it, so I wanted to incorporate that sort of feel into Ilyon Chronicles.
Oh, and I shall keep your threat in mind. ;)
Oh, and I shall keep your threat in mind. ;)
He was???! WOW THAT IS AWESOME. That would also explain his near hanging and being rescued by his er, not-so-merry-men. :DI'm not sure if threats or pleas work better with you...
But PLEASE DON'T KILL HIM. OR ANYONE OTHER THEN THE BAD GUYS. Pleeeease? *puppy dog eye*
But yes, please keep my threat in mind too.
Now if you kill Jace...You'll probably die with him, since I'm sure at least one person in this group knows where you live...And if not we can just comb the Northwoods of Wisconsin. ;)
*laughs then stops abruptly* I better construct my own secret camp out in the woods to hide in...
Ha, I'll help you set one up, Jaye! But wait...Oh no....Jaye, does that mean....what I think it does???
Not necessarily. ;) Characters do die (it's kind of unavoidable), but if it makes you feel any better, it is really, really tough for me to kill off my favorite characters.
I agree that Trask needs to go ahead and marry Anne.Jaye, I know where you live. If it wasn't 15 hours away, I would totally storm your house for a visit. :) There's nothing...tragic...that happens that I don't know about, is there? I don't think I've asked for death spoilers, though I suppose that would be met with a wait and see. I think I know what you're talking about. *sob*
So as I was reading through this, I had visions of all of you storming my house . . . well, my parents' house. ;) When I get my own house (preferably sooner rather than later) you're all invited to a big Ilyon Chronicles party with sweet rolls and pie and any other good food mentioned in the books. :D
But anyway, yeah, this thread sort of got derailed by talk of character deaths sooo, back to Trask, shall we?
I especially love working on scenes between him and Goler. I love how he pushes his buttons. :D It's entirely too much fun.

Yay!! :) (and I know what you mean about character deaths. I fully anticipate an angry mob coming after me when my second book comes out. ;) )And, I love those scenes!! I do like Trask. A lot. He and Anne are adorable together. :)

Ooo! I like this idea! And since I only live about three hours or so away... ^_^
As for Trask, I love the way he was able to set up the camp and get it so well organized.
Yes! Trask is so funny sometimes. Or most of the time. He's ether being funny or awesome. No wonder he came from Robbin Hood. XD And I love how he got the last line in Resistance. :D
Agreed. Except that the "we are" part got my sister and I singing the Farmer's insurance thing when we were putting in our beta reading notes. :P
What's your favorite color? How did you first meet Lady Anne?
If you lived in your author's world what type of car would you drive?
How do you feel about Jace?
My question for Trask: How many times have you asked Lady Anne to marry you? How much does Goler annoy you?
Athelas wrote: "In a dream I had last night, Trask died. 0.0 It was horrible."You did?! That's IS horrible. O_O Not Trask! I love Trask! How did it happen, or do we not want to know?
really even over Kayden or Jace!?!?!?! Trask is really cool but over Kayden and Jace? (I'm still trying to figure out if I like Kayden or Jace more;)
I would probably like Jace the best but I feel I can relate more to Kyrin but yet you gotta love Kayden he is awesome and I really like Trev to :)
Yes... I know, I'm weird. I've always had favorites who weren't the MC. It's just that Trask is so sarcastic and his relationship with Anne is so great and I just love him.[But same for Kayden and Jace, just in second place. Both are equally awesome and are wonderful. :) ]
Hey that's not weird everyone has different taste, and Trask is really cool:) ( and BTW I have to say that my sister is the one who named Trask and I did Lady Anne even though I thought about doing Makilien or Kyrin but when my sis said Trask I couldn't help but name her Lady Anne;)
I didn't really care for Trask while reading Resistance (and there were several pages that I honestly thought he would die, and I probably wouldn't have cared), but then I found out he was based on Robin Hood and now he's one of my favorite secondary characters, just below Tallas (and, for the record, I rate girls and guys separately), and he can never die. Unless it's at the hand of Demoselle Maria. (You'd have to read the Paul Creswick version of The Adventures of Robin Hood Collection to know that reference)
Kendra wrote: "I didn't really care for Trask while reading Resistance (and there were several pages that I honestly thought he would die, and I probably wouldn't have cared)..."*dies* I loved Trask since the first snarky comment he flung that pompous captain's way. But yeah, his favorite status went up the more I compared him to Robin Hood. :P
