Lauren and I are starting a buddy read for starting Saturday Dec 6th! Everyone is welcome to join!

There are no set chapters per day, we just read at our own paces and start each post with how far along you are, i.e., Chapter #, %, using spoilers where needed. Have fun!

I started this tonight, and I'm already up to 35% This is a very quick read! So far, I'm really liking the characters, the MC and Jackaby are really fun! I have my suspicions on the WHO of the case, but I don't fully understand the WHY and HOW yet. I could be wrong of course!

I'm up to page 65 at the beginning of chapter eight (22%). Like Jenny, I'm really loving the characters so far! Like the description says, if you like Doctor Who and/or Sherlock Holmes, you will love Jackaby! I've just met Mona O'Connor and her old family friend/relative. I'm now at page 125 (42%). Abigail has just been taken to see the third floor pond at Jackaby's place. I think I'm going to be adding this to my favorite books of the year list!

I don't know much about Irish Mythology, but it sounds familiar! This is a fun read :)

Okay, I just finished it! And I am adding this to my fave reads of the year!

It had a perfect blend of quirky adventure with chilling mystery. Also AMAZING characters! I hope there will be more adventures betten Ms. Rook and Jackaby, I could read many more!

And yes, its a cross between Dr. Who and Sherlock Holmes. LOVED it! I did figure out the WHO, I was right, (view spoiler)[And I did guess Charlie was a werewolf or shifter, but I had no idea the commissioner was a Redcap! (hide spoiler)]

Loved Douglas and Jenny, they were really fun characters too, and of course, Charlie! Hatun was cool too!

I just heard about this book last night and want to read it so bad.

I def recommend it, Tommy! Its a fun quick read!

gonna have to try this, been hearing more and more about it

I'm currently on page 159 (53%) and too much paprika was used in those eggs!

I'm glad you loved it! It is amazing, isn't it! I'm really excited to see that it's supposed to be a part of a series!

I just finished. I absolutely loved it! It was so much fun! I'm glad to see it's the first book in a series!
