Roleplaying Critiques
Can I request one? A few people have told me that I don't write as well as they want, or don't include as much detail.. and since I've Role-played with you Chloe for a while I was wondering if you could help me??:)

I have no idea what they're talking about because I think you're great. I honestly don't know what you could correct really, you have good length and conventions, and you do enough of the character's thoughts to not go overboard. Personally I think you're REALLY REALLY good.

Sure! Personally, just for my taste, some of your responses could be a little longer, but most of them are pretty good. Also, you tend to power play a little bit (like where you make your character better than they should be), so I'd just keep an eye on that. But the power play, well, we all end up doing that a bit at some point, it's not just you. Other than that, you tend to do a pretty good job. :)

Chloe, this is such a great idea! I think it'll help or group A TON. How did you come up with this idea?

Why thank you. And you see, I was thinking about how I know some people that are REALLY good at this (they aren't in this group, even though this group has some really great roleplayers), and then I was wondering what they thought of my writing (didn't ask of course), and then I wondered what anyone thought of my writing and figured that other people might wonder too. So, voila! Here it is.

Would anybody like to critique/criticize me? As in honestly?

I think that your RPing is amazing, you come across funny and sarcastic. One thing: sometimes your characters seem a bit too easy to think of a witty line or too perfectly sarcastic! Love it, though!!!
:)
I know I tend to make my character to well-rounded, I'll work on that. :)

I feel like everyone's too good for me to critique!Aliya- You are good at making different types of characters and personalities and making them realistic. Your posts are largely a good length... Maybe you could try developing your characters' feelings more over time? I don't know, I'm not good at this!
Advice for me please?
Chloe- You're a great Roleplayer and I almost always want to make my character friends with yours. Your ideas are fab yet maybe make a Career, or a few! ;)And thank you haha, so are yours!

Sora, doll (XD), you're great too. You have good length and conventions and depth into the character's mind... I don't really know what I'd fix. (And Lence is like, amazing might I just say.)

squiggle! You're really really good, your posts are a good length and your conventions and stuff are on point. I honestly don't know what I'd say, other than your characters are almost always so nice, and that you should make a Career one time that just bites everyone's head off. I don't know really XD

Okay, so I think that your lengths and stuff for your characters are always great, but maybe when RPing you should try to write about more than just your characters thoughts, and perhaps you should try making a character that is more mentally stable to make it different.

Sora, you are amazing. I'm serious, I can't think of much. You make your characters realistic and know how good and bad is realistic. And you make me fall in love with every single one of your characters! I LOVED Linadel, and now I love Lence!!! :3

You do a pretty good job with conventions and grammatical stuff. What I would suggest is that you add more length and depth into some of your responses (because some of them are good). Also, you tend to power play just a bit, and I would suggest that you try not to get so attached to your characters. Especially if you're going to have them be from lower districts. Alice, I'd suggest that for you too. To try not to get too attached to your characters.

Thanks Chloe and Aliya! I agree, in my hg rp history I haven't done a mean career yet. I don't think I'll be good at it, but I should try. I noticed as I was making Kasmyria that she was kind of similar to Riva. I suppose I enjoy making mentally unstable characters.

Make one in this next Arena, do it where they bite everyone's head off, but once in a while shows their vulnerable side? :)
Okay, so I know I power play sometimes and get a bit attatched to my charries.
So other than that, can someone judge my RPing?? Thanks!

Julane: So yes, you do often power play, but like Chloe said; we always do it sometimes! And you actually don't get too attached to your characters, you don't make the world work out just for them so that they are guaranteed victor, and you also don't just abandon them because you don't care about them anymore.
Otherwise, I think that you should really write more for your posts so that when RPing people have more to go off of. Also, when making your characters you might want to look back to their profiles sometimes to make sure how they're acting fits their profile to make it seem more reasonable.
Thanks Aliya! I'll make sure to do that, great advise!
Thanks Sora!!! So I'll try to give my charries more depth and character, and right longer!
Oh, and also to Chloe: I love your charries, one thing: in Arena 1, I thought that the interview costume was a bit unrealistic, just because of the "Geek" thing and stuff, but other than that, I think your characters have just gotten better!

@Sora What do you mean? I have been role playing since before this group was even begun. I thought you guys had just as much information about me as you did about everyone else... What about all the length posts I have done in the training center? Or Arena 1? I think there is plenty to critique, but that's just my personal opinion and you are entitled to yours.
Thanks Sora. I'll definitely work on creating length posts and having characters that aren't flawless.
Nope, that's not sarcasm. (That wasn't sarcasm, either.) I really mean it, I like getting advice, it helps me get better. :)
Okay, so I feel like I might have a very different roleplaying style in Arena 2, I was wondering if anyone has any updated advice/criticism/whatever about my RPing? Thanks guys.

So I would agree, your style has shifted. I wouldn't say dramatically, but it certainly changed. Your posts are longer, and they're a great length. They aren't a novel, but they aren't one line either. Also, I think that the description in them is good, and I also like how you add to what the other person has posted about instead of contradicting them (something I think I'm guilty of every so often, although I can't think of something off the top of my head). Also, you aren't overly repetitive (which I think I am sometimes) either.
AKA YOU'RE GREAT YAY

Oh, thank you so so so so much Chloe! You are seriously an amazing writer, seriously. I think that you are super original, you post really long, and I loooove your charries. And I feel repetitive a lot too, really. And I love how you manage to make your character always seem tough, no matter what!!! :)

Thank youuuu :)
I do feel a bit repetitive with my characters though (for that exact reason (x ) so I'm going to try something a little bit different this time. Tough still, maybe not as tough, more determined, but not as sarcastic, no matter how much it PAINS me to leave out the sarcasm ;)
Thank youuuu :)

I'm sure. Sarcastic charries seem to be your thing... haha, just kidding. You're good at them, that's for sure. I think my next one will be determined, but a bit more soft.
Aw thank you cx and that seems interesting! I can't wait for Arena 3 and the new characters and for Emily to join in because she is AmAzInG

To get a critique, simply request one. If someone asks for a sample of your writing to illustrate their point, simply choose one that reflects your writing style as a whole (an average post).
