A Separate Peace by John Knowles is #55 on our 100 books list and one of our group picks for February 2020. Let's discuss it here..

I'm hoping to start reading, well listening to, this today. I've read it once before, in 2014. I remember very little (one of the reasons I love writing reviews, didn't write one for this book though). A few stand-out moments, the fact that I cried and that I loved it. I'm very interested to see what I think almost 6 years on. I listened to the audiobook narrated by Scott Snively in 3 days last time. It is only 6 hours but that's still quick for me!

I didn't cry this time but I was blown away by how much I enjoyed this book, once again. It's a masterpiece. The plot is fascinating and the emotions beautifully conveyed but I was most of all captivated by the writing; the sentence structure and symbolism.
