I mentioned this in my review but thought it might be worth discussing here. I felt like the way it was written was intentionally similar to the way the book Dracula sounds - i.e. letters from Harker.

I commented on your review, and agree with you, although it hadn't really occurred to me. It's funny to me how many people think they are so familiar with the Dracula story, but have not actually read the real book. It's wonderfully written.
