Discuss the author - Eowyn Ivey. Other works you have read? Has this book motivated you to search out other works by her? Etc.?

I really enjoyed this author. There was a very interesting interview at the end of my kindle edition of the book about her. She took about a year to write this book, her debut. Before this she took about 5 years to write a book she almost (but hasn't yet) finished. This book/subject really called her to and she did a lot of research about the original fairy tale. You could really feel her love for this book through her writing.

While I did enjoy this book, I think I would probably only read other works by her if they came recommended. It sort of felt the same with The Night Circus - a good book, but not one to get me hooked on the author.
