I must say I quite enjoyed this book. The story was compelling, the characters quite engaging. I found myself quite involved with the characters & their struggles.This book is written in a manner that makes it appealing to a wide age range. My 15 yr. Old granddaughter absolutely loves these books,so much so that she's waiting eagerly for the 3rd book. I have followed up my Opal Eggs Of Fire book ,which is about the opal fields of Australia with the fifty four nationalities trying to mine or steal the beautiful Australian opal. Farmers in a three year drought venture to Coober Pedy to try to pay the greedy bank to save the farm. They find a fortune and also the towns thieves. I have a follow up to this book 'The Opal Dragon"i have had an Aussie movie director interested in Opal Eggs Of Fire. I had started to write the story of the head of the town thieves, Ali the dragon. The movie producer wanted him highlighted in the story. I have done a Bruce Courtney style crossing of characters, with two parties on a quest for the beautiful Black opal. The common thread is the three thieves who work with The Dragon. The movie producer wanted The Dragon to meet his maker in a very nasty way The end has a hint of Alfred Hitchcock to it..
