So, what kind of powers would the students have? Can I have an example or two to get the imagination running? :)

Powers relating to their element or personality are fine. Perhaps if an element is highly combustible, there could be powers relating to fire. It's really up to you. Or if your character loves to swim, something to do with water is all acceptable. It's all up to you. =)

If there are (as I saw in the Mod Chat) going to be dorms, that would imply that they stayed at the school. If this is the case, how would the "job" thread on the Character Template be applicable?

They could work in the Library or any store or food place located on campus.

Umm, what dorm would Bismuth be in? By what I've read, it's an 'other metal' or 'poor metal'..?

Well, I have just created an other metals dorm after realizing earlier that there were a bunch of metals that didn't fit the categories! I hadn't even read the question yet. So there is now a dorm for such metals. =)
