Noticed that many members are quite enthusiastic about certain TV series and Movies - so, here is a thread for that very purpose.

But please, use spoiler tags < spoiler > < / spoiler> (click on some html is ok at the upper right corner of the comment box for more formatting tips) when needed.

Mine, too! Lol My muse talks in Martin Freeman's voice, hehe. Also love Black Books & the Office.

Donna... Game of Thrones or just Drogo? LOL! ;)

My inner voice has a British accent too, Veronica and Heather! And the funny thing about it is that it's masculine. Posh but a little deep too, kinda like a cross between Jason Isaacs and Alan Rickman. :b

J.C., tons of The Walking Dead fans here. No need to exchange messages, you can talk about it here.

message 10: by Veronica (new)

Veronica Rosa (veronicadelrosa) I haven't seen those. I'll check them out. I can't wait for the new Dr. Who. I'm so hoping they get rid of Clara. Ugh. Don't like her.
And do we really have to wait a year for the next Sherlock? That's just rude.

message 11: by Veronica (new)

Veronica Rosa (veronicadelrosa) My son is also addicted to watching Minecraft videos on youtube. His three favourites are all British, so I hear even more British accents.

Also, love Downton Abbey! I stopped at season 2. Been meaning to catch up... But books and all that.

message 13: by Heather (new)

Heather Blair (lovelyshivers) | 69 comments Mmmm, Alan Rickman....love his voice. I think I need to watch Love Actually again!
And yes, Veronica, you do! Black Books in particular is hilarious & Broadchurch is just jaw-dropping(also has 10, Rory & Argus Filch in it!! Oh & Prisoner Zero!)
And totally agree about Clara!

I'm still catching up on Sherlock... I'm on the last episode of season 2 and still have season 3 to sustain me.

Also, is this weird or what... I want to make Sherlock and Irene Adler to happen.

message 15: by Veronica (last edited Dec 10, 2014 06:38AM) (new)

Veronica Rosa (veronicadelrosa) Ooh, I like her character. At first I wasn't sure if I liked her and wanted her to keep her hands to herself. Then I realized she made a great match for Sherlock.

I binged on Sherlock a few weeks back. Watched all the episodes back to back. My husband and our kid barely saw me all weekend. *laughs*

@Heather, Alan Rickman was my first British love. God, that voice! I just fell in love with him. Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, I wanted him to win Maid Marion. I didn't care that he was evil.

message 16: by Heather (new)

Heather Blair (lovelyshivers) | 69 comments FYI, for the Sherlock fans...if you are on Twitter you should follow @suevertue , Moffat's wife. She posts a lot if sneaks, etc. Gatiss does sometimes, too. @Markgatiss

I do love them British shows! :b

Oh, we can't forget about Outlander! STARZ so CRUEL leaving us in the lurch like that? I couldn't stop saying "WTF" - mid season finale - WTF!!! Why didn't they just get on with it?!

LOL! I binged just this last weekend too. I love Irene! I'm so glad that (view spoiler) My fingers are itching to type up a Fanfiction for those two. Haha!!!

message 20: by Veronica (new)

Veronica Rosa (veronicadelrosa) I'm hoping she comes back. And yes, that last scene, I almost squealed! It might have been because Sherlock looks effing awesome sword fighting.

Let me try... See if I can work something out... But there might be BDSM elements since Irene's a Dominatrix... But then Sherlock knows how to handle a riding crop himself (S01E01) LOL

message 24: by Veronica (new)

Veronica Rosa (veronicadelrosa) Oooh, that's right. I remember that with the riding crop.

I gotta say I kinda do ship Molly & Sherlock, too... I'm torn, lol.

message 28: by Veronica (new)

Veronica Rosa (veronicadelrosa) I sooooo wanted him to get with Molly, but he's treated her like crap so many times that I think I'd lose respect for her. But I do love that he's told her that she's special to him.

message 29: by Heather (new)

Heather Blair (lovelyshivers) | 69 comments Exactly! But when she gets fired up, she's got quite the backbone. I'd like to see her make him crawl a bit, lol.

message 30: by Veronica (new)

Veronica Rosa (veronicadelrosa) Mmm, I just want to see him crawl... preferably in that oh-so-sexy sheet he worn to Buckingham Palace. ;)

Yes, she's great. They all have such distinct personalities. I think Alison is my favorite.

message 39: by Veronica (new)

Veronica Rosa (veronicadelrosa) I watched the first episode last night of Orphan Black and enjoyed it. I'm confused as to where it's supposed to take place. It's obviously filmed in Toronto as they showed the CN tower. Also I recognized a few other spots, but the main character and her friend both have British accents.

Yeah, I get your confusion but I think it actually is supposed to take place in Toronto. I can't recall or maybe it was explained as to why there are British characters in this show. It may just be so you can distinguish between all the characters that Tatiana Maslany portrays. Which you will meet soon enough if you keep watching. The actress herself is actually from Canada.
How did you like Paul? Did you get to a certain scene in the kitchen??

Really? Lol, they probably didn't think that through! The accent, I mean.

The distraction scene? Got to that part. Nice butt! I've only watched the first episode right now, so I haven't gotten much of a feel for Paul except "Yum."

I assumed they were in Toronto. It was just a little jarring with the accents and no explanation in the first episode. If they'd mentioned they were in Toronto or something then I would've been fine with it. There are so many nationalities and I'm always hearing a different accent. Although not many British ones. *pouts*
