Pretty much if there's a Beatles theme, I'm in. This book is about what you'd expect when you put late 70's John Lennon in the hands of an Irish writer. Humor, brilliance, execution, weirdness and a little more weirdness.
John Lennon is having a breakdown of sorts, and he wants to go to "his" Island to scream.
This my 2nd Barry, and I think I liked the first one a bit more because everything in his structure was such a fun surprise for me. This book was similarly structured - basically two guys having a conversation during which a story is revealed.
It was great, and I want to read more Barry but know now that I need to space them out so as not to find the structure tedious.
