Slightly off topic. I was wondering if anyone has horror collections they would like to talk about or possibly show off. I currently collect the Living Dead Dolls, and other horror blind boxes. I am hoping to invest in a fancy bookshelf to show off my merchandise collections and books. Right now everything is cluttered on a dresser.. ugh!

I have the Nightmare Before Christmas action figures. I just started collecting the Game of Thrones action figures, which technically is not horror, but has a lot of horror elements in it (Undead, decapitations, torture, etc)
AMAZON most definitely! I once used Ebay and had nothing but trouble, and I've been a prime member on Amazon for a few years now and have had no trouble. I buy ALOT from Amazon!
I have a rather extensive horror collection in my basement. Mostly people that strayed off the highway and stopped here asking for directions. Oh, and a couple of door to door salesmen, and not to mention a really nice collection of Jehovah's witnesses. Uh, was this what you meant?
Hm.. Well there is a doll that I want, but it is only available on Ebay. I am not sure what I should do. Is it any better if you use the "buy it now" feature instead of bidding?
If it's a price that you're ok with then "buy it now", if not go ahead a bid on it but you will have to wait for the end of the bid and win the bid, of course, to get it.
Just DON'T go out drinking and come home and bid on Ebay. I did that and paid fifty dollars for a board game.

Thanks for the info for ebay. I'm new to buying things online.

Love my spooky dolls :) Also have an autographed art collection (spooky naturally) and my husband got me a sword that was screen used by Bruce Campbell in The Army Of Darkness.
Gimme some sugar baby!

Jessi wrote: "Does anyone do online shopping? Which would you say is most reliable amazon or Ebay?"DEFINITELY Amazon! I have Prime and I love it!!! I spends thousands of dollars a year. Ebay is ok... I have had some issues with Ebay products... the sellers seem less honest. The Ebay guarantee takes forever to straighten out and get your money back, but with Amazon it's practically instant. Of the hundreds of items I've bought thru them, I have maybe returned 2 or 3. Out of Ebay, the 10 or so times I've ordered I had an issue 2 times, which both took 2 months to straighten out. Just be careful.
At first I thought besides horror books, and some animal skeleton bits in the backyard, I don't really collect anything horror related. I collect dolls - but then after giving that some thought I realized I am not just your average run of the mill Barbie/doll collector here - I have a strange collection which includes, Agnes Dreary, (name says it all), Headless BRATZ doll, Centaur Monster High doll, Ursula (evil villain from Little Mermaid), Cat Woman Barbie (which believe me is not for children), and a fortune teller / gypsy BRATZ doll and Bewitched Barbie ....

Ahhh! That sounds terrible. I may just buy what can on amazon and hope the doll comes to a horror convention in Denver soon.. if that will ever happen. *rolls eyes*

I have had good experiences on Ebay, but what I would watch for is good feedback! That is of the utmost importance. If you deal with someone in the States and they have good feedback, you'll be ok :)
I both buy and sell online all the time. As far as I'm concerned, Amazon is the preferred venue for both. eBay has been going downhill steadily for years. There are still some good sellers there but lots of baddies, both buying and selling (I don't sell there any more, just buy supplies from my regular vendors).
I figured amazon was the better of the two, I haven't heard anyone really talk about ebay in a long time. I do not have prime, I am not sure if it will be worth it to me yet.
I don't have Prime either. I considered it for videos but I went with Netflix instead because it works with my google chromecast (so I can watch on the TV instead of the laptop).
Oh that's nice. I have netflix, but I do watch it on my laptop. I would prefer it to be shown on my tv, but it works okay.
There's an art gallery near me, Studio Bongiorno, that opened up across from a cemetery, in a spot that used to be occupied by people who made tombstones. They use the theme in a lot of the art there. It's a pretty cool place to visit.etsy.com is just for handmade stuff. You can find some unique things there that are horror related. For example, search "horror doll".
I've belonged to Amazon for a long time and for the first couple of years I didn't become a prime member. I became a prime member when employees at walmart and other stores told me things were cheaper on there than the stores. Since going to prime, I get free music, watch free movies, get free shipping on what I order, and much more. I even order aquarium fish food on there because it's less expensive. Also, I check prices on Amazon before buying in stores now.
Oh yes, Etsy has adorable things!! I've never had a problem ordering from Etsy! All the sellers are very personal :)
My cousin jackie has an account on etsy, she was diagnosed with potts. Unfortunately she had to stop college and is unable to work. She used to be a photographer at Gatorland in kissimmee, FL. She paints plain vans shoes and makes them into beautiful personable shoes.

https://www.etsy.com/shop/JBaldwinArt there you go! Just don't say I mentioned her whole story on here. She doesn't like people to know.
But her paintings on shoes are really pretty, definately check them out.

Of course! I just figured you could share the love with us all!
Yeah no problem :) I am not sure if she sells them or just shows them for art on etsy. I haven't looked into the site much to know what all is done on there.
Oh boy! Here we go with the shopping. I can't wait till all of you start discussing QVC. This is horror at it's finest. Calgon...take me away!!!
Robert wrote: "Oh boy! Here we go with the shopping. I can't wait till all of you start discussing QVC. This is horror at it's finest. Now THAT'S scary what with thieves, car-jacking, muggings, etc. I DO go shopping when I have to, but I would buy everything online if I could.
With the Internet, it amazes me that QVC and Home Shopping Network are even still around to horrify anyone.

This handsome fellow is the first thing you see when walking through my front door. ;)
(I collect Universal Monsters stuff.)
Does anyone collect certain authors? I used to have all of the Dean Koontz books, read almost all of the Blake Crouch/Jack Kilborn books as well as Stephen King. Have more I collected and read, and was just wondering if anyone else reads all of a particular author.
I have all of the Stephen King books in first edition. I also read & collect Jonathan Maberry, Jeremy Robinson, and a few other authors.

I scare too easily so this would give me nightmares!

I love his stuff!! The Pine Deep trilogyGhost Road Blues and The Rot & Ruin series Rot and Ruin are both great places to start. The Rot & Ruin is a zombie set while The Pine Deep set has ghosts & various other creepy things.
