It was evening and the night had a cold briskness to it. Out of no where came the wheezing sound. There was a slight breeze as leave were blowing around. Suddenly, a large blue box labeled "Police Public Call Box" appeared right under a lamppost not too far from a collection of flats. Most people would mistake it for a regular box, but then a man wearing a bow tie and purple coat stepped out. He leaned against the outside of his beloved TARDIS, crossed his arms, and put a smirk on his face. He new his friend Clara had heard the sound of the TARDIS.

"So, where did you get this grumpy old cow of a box?" Clara asked him, slightly smirking.

"Oh you know, Impossible Girl," his smirk turned into a smile and he stood up straight and uncrossed his arms. "I stole, sorry, borrowed it off Gallifrey. Same story every time," he said.

"Whatever you say," She said with a shrug.

He held the TARDIS door open for her. "Where to this time, ms Clara Oslwald?" He asked in a serious chauffeur tone

She laughed, "How about Ancient Greece or something, that sounds interesting."

"All of time and space and you pick an ancient city on your own planet," he shook his head in mock disappointment, but at the same time in a joking way.

"Well, history is pretty fascinating, but -" Clara stopped herself before she sounded too weird. "It is far enough away from England, and it's ancient, so it should be interesting."

"Alright," he shrugged and stepped into the TARDIS behind Clara. He ran over to the control panel, typed in a few coordinates, pulled a few levers and pushed a few buttons, then they were off! Traveling through the vortex, like always.

"Can I go outside yet?" She asked, a bit overeagerly.

"You know the rules, the TARDIS lands and you can step outside," he smiled and gestured towards the door.

"Yeah, I'm still pretty new to this thing," She said, opening the door and stepping outside. "Wow, It's even better than I imagined!"

"Ancient Greece! Always more than meets the eye," he winked as he stepped out behind her and pulled the door to the TARDIS closed. He looked around at the scenery, the ancient Greeks always had a good taste in architecture.

"Let's go there first!" Clara said, pointing to a large building.

"That's the Parthenon! Beautiful inside, the ceiling art is amazing," he explained as they started to walk over the the large Parthenon.

"Ooh, cool!" She said, hurrying in, pulling the Doctor behind her.

The Doctor sniffed the air. "Hold up," he pulled he to a stop. "Something isn't right," he muttered quietly and looked around. Everything seemed find, but why did it feel off?

"What is it? An alien or something?" She asked.

"Something not from this world... Could be alien or robot, but yeah you get the point," he said and started to walk off in another direction. Yes, he thought, something was definitely wrong.

"Is this our queue to leave or are you going to try to destroy it?" She asked.

"Well we can't leave without getting into a little bit of trouble," he looked at her with fake puppy dog eyes then broke into a small laugh. Of course, they would have to find danger before they left, as always

"Okay, let's go talk to danger and trouble now!" She said sarcastic, walking towards the building.

He smiled and followed her close behind. "You're not afraid of danger, Clara," he said slyly and with a small smirk.

"No, I am impossible, aren't I?" She said smiling.

"Right," he gave her a kind smile back.

Clara quickly walked to the door of he building, then nervously creaked it open.

The doctor stood behind her and looked over Clara's shoulder. "Odd . . . There's no citizens in here. Normally, they would worship the goddess Athena," he explained

((Ugh I am so tired! Two nights ago, I got 4 hours of sleep and I got 6 hours of sleep last night. I swear, my teachers are choosing to give us as much hw and tests as possible. I need at least 7 hours of sleep per night! No one gets more than 6 hours of sleep for the past week and the next week))

"That's a bit odd that they worship a statue," she muttered, looking around.

((Ugh, that is really unfair! You do need at least 7 hours of sleep, and that's at the least! Someone stayed up till 4am watching Netflix last night, what a stupid choice!))

"They were ancient Greeks. They didn't know any better," he stated

"I guess that that was the only thing they even knew to do," Clara said with a shrug, staring at the giant statue.

((A boy in my grade. Stupid.))

((Haha, I just got done looking at Christmas lights with a friend in a neighborhood where all of the super rich people live... It was fun, we went to Starbucks in our Pajamas :D))

((XD I'm getting milkshakes with my dad, friend, and friends dad, and we just saw Mockingjay!!!!!))

((Ooh cool! My mom said that we would go, but then my little sister (whose 8) begged to go, of course she can't, she gets scared way too easily. I'm probably going to end up seeing it in a few weeks))

"They didn't know what to believe," he shrugged

"Yeah," She said, then started to walk through the ancient halls.

"It's fascinating, though, don't you think?" He asked her

"Quite fascinating, it really is awesome!" She exclaimed.

"Awesome," he laughed and said the word a few times "such an American word,"

"I know! It is!" She replied with a laugh.

The Doctor looked up at the Statue, then did a double take. "Wait a minute . . ." He muttered and walked up to it. This wasn't right, not at all

"What is wrong with the statue?" Clara asked, still staring at it.

"It's not Athena!" He exclaimed and ran around it, scanning it with his sonic screwdriver

"Then what is it? Why is that so bad?" Clara asked.

"It's Poseidon, but the myth goes that Poseidon and Athena competed to have this city named after them. Obviously, Athena won, but why is there a statue of Poseidon in the Parthenon, made for Athena?" He explained

"I don't know, maybe the statues got switched or something," Clara said with a shrug.

"No, that wouldn't just happen. They don't have any statues for Poseidon here..." He trailed off
