Esther Rabbit | 11 comments THE BEST BOOK COVER DESIGN TIPS FOR THE SELF-PUBLISHED AUTHOR (Part 1) aims to help indie or self-published authors navigate the realm of book cover design according to genre and subgenre (see video below). We'll have a look at popular and bestselling book covers and popular fonts for Sci-fi, Fantasy, Dystopian, Mermaids, Chick-lit, Paranormal Romance, Shape-shifters, Mystery and Detective novels, including covers that are so bad that they're actually GOOD (a spectacular parody is always a winner). Please take into consideration this guide is split in 2 videos, so PART 1 is dedicated to Sci-Fi & Fantasy and PART 2 to all the rest.

We'll also zoom in on researching impacting covers in your genre upon embarking on this journey, popular trends in book cover design, when to choose characters for your book covers, how to create that design unity when speaking about series or sagas. Last but not least we'll have a look at budget because book cover design cost varies greatly and there's an option for everyone. Give it a thumbs up if you like it & subscribe so you don't forget to watch PART 2 next week. Much love🥰

I'm a DIY indie author, and I am seriously considering getting illustrator for my next book cover. This should be useful to me.

Check out the designer recommendations in the video description, they've offered some nice discounts and I've worked with most of them. I also have a video coming up soon on my experience with 99designs and Damonza :)

Also, thanks SO MUCH for dropping by
