What's the Name of That Book??? discussion

An artistic sister won't give up the search for her missing brother. From one day to another, he disappeared leaving his pregnant wife/fiancee/gf (can't remember). she gives birth and it's a boy. This makes the sister even more determined even though the FBI stopped searching and she eventually tracks him down. I read this book about 4 -5 years ago in middle school. Can't remember what it's called please help.

It sounds like an adult theme. Were you just a precocious reader, or was the book aimed at a YA or middle grade audience?

i'm not entirely sure. the book had to do a lot with wilderness. The books was not for middleschoolers, I am a very advanced reader, I would say it was YA
