I am sorry but is this the correct review under this selected book. I fear not. As this book was written in times way back when computers were not invented . It skips from present time to 90 years ago.

Try Dickens. In 19th century England, Tokens were left by mothers in the basket with their babies when they abandoned them anonymously in various places (train stations, etc), knowing the basket would end up in an orphanage, such as the famous Thomas Coram orphanage, in hopes that they could return and claim their child once their circumstances improved, which was rare. A coincidental benefit was this small act would ease their conscience.
Dickens work concentrated on orphans and women in dire straits of this era.
