As always, Vee walked towards the rose bush. She had woken up today actually feeling good about herself. Maybe it was because she slept happy yesterday. She softly hummed to herself as she walked with her arms wrapped around her stomach. She had decided to do her hair in a side braid. She felt well rested too. Maybe this day would make up for yesterday's. Even though she slept happily it started off horrible. But she wasn't in the mood to recall it. Instead she walked up to the bush before sitting down crosse legged. She looked at the blood red petals. Usually she would come here to press her thumb to a thorn and watch the blood leak, a substitute to cutting. But this time she just admired its beauty and yearns to have one to hold in her hand.

Axel was in quite the good mood, whistling cheerfully to himself as he walked out of the staff private quarters. He wandered for a bit before spotting the roses, which made him think of his sister, obviously. So despite knowing she wouldn't care, he made his way toward them, deftly using a knife from under his belt to cut the stem to pick one up, then slice the thorns off. Things like what he'd just done always put him in a cheerful, generous mood. So he had no qualms picking a few more to give to his sister. He smiled at the other girl, though without his usual flirtiness. "Hey."

Vee has been lost in thought and didn't hear anyone walk near her in the garden until Alex was next to rose bush. She looked up to him, fear quickly taking over her until she noticed what he was doing. She relaxed, not worrying if he would hurt her or make fun of her or anything. She watched as he cut off a rose by the stem and take off the thorns. Maybe the fact that he had a rose in his hand, something she loved so much, kept her from freaking out. She looked away when he met her gaze with a smile and then looked back at him, pushing a strand of her white hair out of her face. "Hi" she says softly then glances back to the rose in his hand.

Axel had a few in his hands by now, and he smiled as he noticed the girl's fixation. She seemed to like them a lot, and he knew his Rose wouldn't care, so he carefully pulled one of the de-thorned roses out of the small bouquet and offered it to her. "I'm Axel." he said in his easy way, grinning cheerfully. She was definitely cute, but so were a lot of girls here. And he was good for now. Besides, before hooking up he wanted to get a feel for someone. Despite what people assumed, Axel was not a bad person. He tried to avoid heartbreaking, always making it abundantly clear before anything happened that it was a one time deal. He was careful to not screw with people that would take it seriously and get their feelings hurt.

A small smile came to her lips as he held out a rose for her. He was actually giving her one of the roses he held! Vee didn't know what to say. She's never been given anything, esceacilly something she wanted for weeks. She pushed herself up to stand and took the rose into her hands. "Thank you" she says happily, not able to stop smiling. She's never smiled to anyone before. She looked down to the rose, admiring the red petals and moved her fingers to feel the softness. "I'm Vee" she told him and glanced up to him. She bit her lip, his cute smile actually making her want to smile and not want to run away.

"Vee..." Axel repeated slowly, as if he was tasting the word as he said it. Another smile slowly crossed his face as he regarded her and the sweet, innocent pleasure she took from the rose. "It works. A uniquely beautiful name for a uniquely beautiful girl." He handed her another rose, this one of the few white roses here.

Vee heard her name spoke on his lips, so foreign. She was filled with joy at this moment. "You really think?" She smiled shyly. Yes she would have freaked out if he called her beautiful or because of how close he was. But she was under a spell. One where her past had disappeared and she was lost in his smile, a background of blood red and Snow White roses. She held the other rose he handed her, her heart filled with happiness. It almost matched the whiteness of her hair, but it was pure white. It was as if she held life and death in her hand. Her once empty and sad eyes were now filled with life.

Axel smiled, all the while deciding this was a bad idea. He could read Vee as a relationship type of girl, and he wasn't a relationship type of guy. He had to tone down and get rid of the overly sweetness he had that was accidentally stringing her along. But he wasn't sure how. Teasing flirts were most of his every day conversations, whether he meant them as flirts or not. And how would he let her down easy?

She brought up the roses to her nose to smell them. The sweet rosy smell scent reached her nose and she closed her eyes, relaxing at how wonderful it was. While doing so she waited for his reply, disappointed that he didn't answer her question. Maybe she wasn't pretty then. She frowned, but he wouldn't give her roses for nothing... Right? She lifted her sad but hopeful gray eyes to look at him and softly said " I've always came here to this bush but I never was able to take one." She teared her gaze away. The uncomfortable feeling starting to creep back into her system. "W-why are you being so nice to me?" She asked him. "I'm just.. A hated ugly girl"

"I'm nice to everyone." Axel smiled. Except the ones we have to kill. "Why don't you take one?" He asked curiously, tilting his head. Goddammit. He was only digging this hole he'd started for himself deeper and deeper. "We are what we think. All that we are arises with our thoughts. With our thoughts, we make the world. Buddha." He quoted with a slight smile, shaking his head.

Vee had hoped her would say that he was nice because he likes her. But then again being nice to everyone is good too. Still she tried not to have her mind dwell of the fact that how desperately she wished for him to like her. To claim her as someone he cared for. Maybe that was asking for too much. She would never understand the limits of wanting and what to want. She had wanted to many things in her life. Happiness, love, and beauty. But yet it seems like she could never have any of them. She shook her head to get rid of these horrible thoughts at the moment. Just like he said, she is what she thought. Maybe she could change. Maybe she could think positive. She actually believed in it. "The stems are too strong for me to cut and I would only struggle if I tried to break them" she admits with a sigh. Her hand moved to brush the pedals of the roses that were still on the bush.

As their little... whatever they were doing, occurred. As they were focused on each other, Dermott entered the area, cold, hollow gaze glancing over the place, skipping over Vee and the dude she was with. He'd headed to the room after working out, and having the encounter with the psychopath, had a shower of course but entered to find Cheese had slipped out of the room and was currently finding the little female mouse. He'd checked most places already, knowing the search was pointless unless he got to an electronic device but he tried anyway. Currently he was going to try and search the garden, doubtful he'd be able to find Cheese in here but it was worth the try. He strolled into the area, looking around along the grass in search of the small rodent.

"Why don't you just cut them then?" Axel wondered aloud curiously, studying the girl with his bright gaze. To him, it was common knowledge. He and Rose had practically been born with knives in their hands. He'd never understood how some people didn't have them to defend themselves. How was everyone still alive?

Vee shrugged. She started to think that he thought she was weird for not having something like a knife with her. She just looked back down to the flowers she held and away from his gaze. I wish he liked me... He gave me flowers.. So maybe? "who are these other flowers for?" She asked, hoping to change the subject. She didn't want to think about knives because that would make her think about cutting and that would only lead to her past. From the corner of her eyes she noticed someone walk by and tensed. But then she sees who it was and relaxed, but only a little. "Dermott?"

Dermott had wandered around, gaze focused on the ground he hadn't noticed that he approached Vee and the kid she was with. He glanced up, his hair falling out of his face and fixated his cold gaze on them. "The one and only Vee," he drawled, shoving his hands into his pockets, glancing at the guy. He looked, slightly familiar for some reason. "Have you seen Cheese?" he asked, lips curling into an almost cruel smile, knowing how much she dislikes the little critter.

Axel smiled, "My sister, Rose. I mean, as a psychopath I know she won't care, she's incapable of caring, but still." He shrugged, as cheerful as ever. But his gaze was sharp and clever as he looked at her, "But you do, so..." He pulled a single red rose out of the bunch to hold onto, then handed the entire rest of the bouquet over, minus the single one he'd pulled out. He smiled brightly, then turned to look at the guy. "Cheese?" He questioned curiously.

What a coincidence it was to have his sisters name be rose and him give her roses. But it was sweet of him to do that even though she wished to have them.... ohmyfreakengod! She opens her arms for him to place the roses he held along with the two he already give her. Her heart was pounding, but not out of free like always. This one was pumping joy along with her blood to her entire body. She didn't care that he kept one, it was for his sister and she probably deserved it more than she did. But still! It took her a moment to remember that Dermott was standing their. Then what he said registered in her head. "She's lose!" She said in a scared voice, but it was still in the low voice she always used. Her gray eyes darted around the ground and bushes to see if cheese was near.

Dermott noticed the little exchange this time, raising a brow but his expression literally was emotionless, giving nothing away to what he was thinking. He had to wonder what was going on but was too... what's the word.. oh yes, he didn't give a flying fuck what was going on. He glanced back at Vee with his hollow cold eyes and smirked, "yeah, she's a mouse," he said, though also directed at the guy who asked about Cheese, "what did you expect?" He rolled his eyes and glanced around, looking out for a flash of her fur. "Reminds me, gotta electronic device on you?" he asked, his tone monotone and oddly indifferent.

Axel laughed lightly, though not unkindly. Despite, you know, killing people for a living, he also really liked making them happy. Rose had once said he was subconsciously trying to make up for what they did, but after agonizing over that for a long while, he'd finally decided it didn't matter. He glanced around for the mouse, catching sight of a slight trembling under the bush. Bending down, he frowned slightly. Setting the rose to the side he carefully untangled the mouse from the thorns and stood back up holding the trembling little creature in one hand, the rose in the other. He was careful to not get it too close to Vee, and extra careful not to accidentally hurt her. "I found a mouse. It might not be your Cheese, but how many mice can there actually be here?" he mused.

Vee wanted to leave, to go to her cell and sit on her top cot where the little fur ball wouldn't reach her. Now that cheese was here in her favorite place, the place she escapes to, it was taken by cheese. And she was most certainly not sharing it. "How could you lose her" She said, less of a question and more of a statement. Vee had her eyes on the ground, more near her feet. She wasn't looking for cheese, she could careless if she was found, but was making sure that she would scurry towards her any second. That's when axel bent down and picked her up. She sighed in relief. But she wasn't happy that she would still see her. Oh we'll, right? She stepped back to keep away from cheese as she was handed from Axel to Dermott. She noticed how he caring he seemed to be when he held cheese in his hands. Maybe one day he could do the same to Vee. Her thoughts soon started to think about him, if he would like her if he gave her the roses for a reason. The way he would care for her. She even forget about the mouse and her gray, ones filled with happiness for once, were looking down to the roses she held. A small smile forming for the first time.

Dermott continued looking around, snorting, "I don't own her Vee, she can venture if she wishes," he stated with a shrug, indifferent and unconcerned on the matter. Answering her despite it being more of a statement. He only returned his attention to them when the guy spoke, glancing at the trembling mouse in his hand and held out his own to take the small guy. Once he passed it to Dermott, he pulled it close for inspection, looking for the small little tracker he put around Cheese's leg and upon seeing it on the mouse he smirked, knowing it was her. He, odd enough, cradled the small creature close to him, until it climbed up onto his shoulder and basically hide in his hair, as much as it could at least. He looked at the guy, lips curled into an almost decent smile, "thanks dude," he drawled, being decent for once but Dermott wasn't a full time asshole much to disbelief. He held out his hand for the guy to shake, "names Dermott, as you already know," he introduced, pulling his more charismatic self out for the first time since coming here.

Axel smiled, shaking the guy's hand firmly in return. "Axel." He responded. "And it wasn't a problem. There's no better way to learn how much a life is worth than by taking many." he said simply. "Besides, it's a mouse." He looked back at Vee, smiling slowly. "Mice have never hurt anyone." He said almost cheerfully, half to Vee and half to Dermott. He turned to face the other guy again, studying him curiously. Rose had spoke about him, but... That was Rose. That was why the pair worked so well together: She brought unbiased opinion, he brought the emotional viewpoint.

Vee had been carried away with her thoughts that she didn't even know axel had said something to her. She just looked up, both to axel and Dermott and stayed quite. It was weird to see Dermott act like that, so kind. The way he cared for the mouse. Please, if it wasn't his he would have not gone to the limits of getting it back. And the way he hook axels hand. Her gaze switched to axel. So handsome, so nice. She squeezed the roses closer to her chest. maybe he does like me... She tried to not think about that. She didn't want to get her hopes up for nothing. With a sigh she looks away to the roses. what time was it? Maybe it's lunch time?

Dermott shook Axel's hand just as firmly before releasing it and shoved his hand back into his pocket. His lips curled in amusement, "don't I know it," he responded, "besides the fact animals are definitely better than most humans," he drawled and glanced at Vee when he slightly addressed her, noticing she was in La La Land and snorted. He rolled his eyes and looked back at Axel, "nice to met you, I'm off, someone here doesn't like me," he purred, chuckling darkly and looked at Vee, "just tell him you think he's sexy already," he said loudly, Dermott being Dermott, "the worst is puppy love when the person doesn't tell the other anything." He rolled his eyes once again before he began walking away from the rose bush, Cheese's nose could be seen as she peeked out from his hair.

"Nice to meet you too." Axel called cheerfully, chuckling slightly. He turned to Vee, "Don't worry darling. No one can ever argue that I'm not sexy, so it's alright." He teased kindly, swiftly kissing her on the cheek. "And in case it was ever in question..." He very gently put a finger under her chin and tilted her head up to face him. "You're beautiful."

((Well we planed to have them end up together and that actually does get someone jealous. But he ends up breaking up with her because Dermott keeps pestering axle. Are u still willing to do this?))

((Idk. Axel really tries hard to avoid breaking hearts, and I don't know if I can see him just leaving her because Dermott says, you know?
Maybe he sits down and talks to her about it and days Dermott's hurt and protective, and she eventually agrees and understands it's not his fault but is still upset and Axel's still feeling guilty and that's how it happens?))

((That could work. I mean the plan was to get hurt badly. What if he doesn't mean to hurt her. Like he thinks he could try this whole dating thing but being the guy he is accidentally sleeps with someone. He tries to keep it from her but Dermott finds out and tells her. Axel can try to make it up to her but she refuses?))

((Maybe he doesn't actually do anything because he doesn't want to hurt Vee. But he goes to pay someone off for information, and the someone happens to be a girl. So he's seen coming out of her room when they were the only two there. Being him, assumptions are made. Dermott knows he didn't actuallly but tells Vee he did.
Later she finds out he really didn't, but she's already with the new guy at that point?))

The two boys must have been talking about her since she revived a couple of glances from them. Vee would have freaked. She would have thought they were making fun of her. But instead her eyes grew and her checks warmed up as the redden. He did not. How could Dermott say that! Her lips were parted as if she was going to say something but she didn't know what to say. Was it that obvious how much she liked away. You couldn't blame her. It's her first real crush. I can't believe he said that. She looked to the floor as he started to walk away. Now she actually wanted him gone. But she should probably leave too. She looked up to axel when he spoke about me sexy and she couldn't help but smile shyly. And then he kissed her... He kissed her! We'll not on the lips but still. The only other kiss she got from a guy was cole and she freaked it even though it was on the forehead. Her cheeks reddened. She looked into his eyes when he tilted her head, her gray one filled with love. "Really?" When it come from his lips she believed it. But from Coles or Dermott. But now she was so different. It was like she never was heartbroken before.
