- REALLY am liking this one, don't know why I avoided it for so long. Truly interest retelling of Cinderella.
* *Actually this one is a beta read of the next book in the series-#10! John Corwin is one of fav writers and rare, vermilion unicorn and I am so honored to be one of his unicornette beta readers/fangirl. He totally understands my undying affection for The Princess Bride, and caters to it.
- Still early on, and disturbing. I think in a good way... maybe?

I've been thinking of trying Cinder. I will have to read it now!

I'm about to leave town for two weeks and the place I'm going has minimal internet (i.e. Dial up O.o ) so I'm loading my Kindle with books.

I like that it was set in Houston (my old stomping grounds) and it was OK. I actually liked a side character better than the main characters. I think I gave it 4♥'s

I think she and I share a lot of readers. She is wonderful on twitter, so I thought it was time to give the series a try. I'll let you know what I think!

I haven't read Elizabeth Hunter's Elemental series, but I LOVED The Genius and The Muse. Beautiful story!

I'm currently reading . It's book three in the Gypsy brothers serial. It's really good/terrifying. Sometimes I find myself sitting there with my muscles tense and my hand over mouth in disbelief, but it's fun to react that way. Really dark though, and not so much a romance as it is a revenge story.

I just started Fate Book Two by Mimi Jean Pamfiloff

Penny, you should put The Eyre Affair (Thursday Next #1) by Jasper Fforde on your TBR list, I'd be interested to see if you liked it, I think it is awesomely quirky and funny but it's not for everyone, British humor doesn't always come across the same for everyone. If you like it there is a whole series called The Thursday Next series and he also has a Nursery Crimes series and more recently a young readers series The Last Dragonslayer (which I want to read eventually)

they are not in the romance genre, more Scifi/fantasy kinda

YAY!!! REVENGE!!! I love revenge books. I've always wanted to write one. I think that's why and are two of my favorites.

I'm re-reading "Riveted" by Meljean Brooke. I recently read book 4 of her Iron Seas series and it make me want to re-read all the other.

it's steampunk and it's really good and I'm desperately in love with Archimedes Fox ♥ (hero of book 2, he's the lovechild of Han Solo and Indiana Jones) but the other men in this series are great too (Ariq *sigh*)

You all are probably going to hate me but I started to read Geoducks are for Lovers and got massively bored, put it down. Now I have Gone by Deborah Bladon, on 3rd chapter. So far so good.

I'm reading It's a collection of stories (some are prequels , others, sequels) about the characters from

It's a queer steampunk romance series by Alexis Hall and I'm loving it. It's written in thieves' cant and the language is challenging but it's writing is so beautiful, absolutely mesmerising.

Nanou, I've read only The Kraken King in this series and I loved it. Does Ariq appear in Riveted as well? If so, I'll need to read it asap :)

Tammy is completely right about Jasper Fforde. (Notice my internet name.) He is absolutely brilliant and funny. He also takes amazing photographs. He used to work on movie sets as a cameraman on sets like Highlander 2 and Goldeneye. The only movie star he ever asked for a photograph was Desmond Llewelyn because Q!!!! Anyway, his books are next to yours on my keeper shelf. Read the books!

I am currently working my way through my ridiculously large collection of Christmas stories. I am in the middle of Our Totally Ridiculous, Made-up Christmas Relationship by Brittainy C. Cherry. It is a bit raunchy, but the MCs have sucked me in by making me laugh. I have to know what happens. Not your usual Christmas story by any means!

No, Riveted is like a stand-alone. whereas you can found some of the same characters in books 1-2-4, book 3 has no mention of them, but re-reading does me good, because in the story the Australian Smuggler den is mentioned as very dangerous ^^ . I advice you with all my heart to read the other books from the Iron Seas ;)

I still have mixed feels... But April promises me that they/it gets better.

I liked Deborah Bladon's Ruin series, I have already bought Gone but I think I'll wait until the whole series is out so I won't have to wait after each one...

So I finally decided to start the series after seeing all the hype about it. Guys, it just didn't appeal to me, didn't quite get why this series got so many good reviews. The main couple that this series is based are too destructive in a relationship. I must say though that I am now reading Rose/Conner's story and it's by far so much better! I'm really enjoying this read!

Hi! I just finished the first two books by Scott Prussing in the Seduction trilogy (so far it's heavy on the BDSM, light on the romance, but I have a feeling that might change). I've enjoyed them more than any other in this kind of genre.

You have to like destructive relationships to like the book (which I did) - it's like a car wreck... basically everyone is going to slow down and look for car bits and blood but not everyone will get a sick thrill from it. Obviously, I'm in the sicko in this analogy, but I can live with that! It's boring if everyone liked all the same books- spice of life keeps things interesting!

A new book my friend wrote. So proud of her. Its a cute teen story.

I have been reading "Crouching Tiger, Forbidden Vampire" It's the last book in Kerrelyn Sparks's Series. Love it!

yeap..you should try and look it up.although my friend said its not suit for her taste. i found that books from Sasha Wagstaff really good and i really like women who is stand right for herself and being independent without relying on others.but hey..different people different opinion.just in case here are the book and uh~~..her another book ..just in case..tee hee hee

I am reading the Sweet Seduction series (there are 6 or 7 standalones) by Nicole Claire. Set in NZ, all romantic action thrillers.

I have my ARC on this to get done in time for the blitz release on January 20! I loved the first book in this series and highly recommend it to everyone -

Are they funny??

is what I am reading tonight. It's very sweet, though I'm not entirely sure I like that the heroine is 6 mos pregnant with her dead husband's baby. I think if I were 6 months pregnant and had 4 children already, I'd cut the Wang off of any man who dared to look my way. But maybe that's just me.

I love worth the fall, but yes it was strange at first! I enjoyed it anyway and i received an ARC for Worth the Risk (Book 2) and it was better than this one.

Christy i have my ARC too! I need a funny one because i read Falling away by Penelope Douglas and i was in a mess at the end, it's was tough!

Yeah, Tammy I realized this after reading the book. Now I'm pissed at myself for starting a book at the beginning of the series. But I just finished and loved it. It was funny and well-written with steamy sex scenes. Now I'm on Julie Jaret's other book which is proving just as good.

I just finished Six of Hearts by LH Cosway. I have a few of her books in my (very long) reading queue but made it a priority; I want to ensure I read at least one of her books before The Hooker and the Hermit is released! I couldn't put it down, it was really good. I want to move on to Painted Faces (is it better than Six of Hearts?) but I promised myself I'd read a biography/non-fiction book next. So I just started . I've been wanting to read it for years. Wow, the prologue hooked me straight away. Tom Reiss is a fantastic writer!

I dare not said six of hearts less interesting than painted faces.the things is..ALL of LH books are SUPER GOOD!!..you should go and read painted faces because its unusual witty and its beyond to describe how different it is from other books..come on..drag queen and a baker??..you surely must have the curiosity how the story goes right?!!..go go go!!..read it!..hahaa

Oh I'll definitely read it, I already purchased it a while ago! I just thought I read somewhere that people liked Painted Faces better.

I'm about to start Season Vining's upcoming novel, Held Against You, but I what I really want to read is The Hooker and The Hermit. :)

I just finished a very intriguing and different book, The Syrian Virgin, by Zack Love. It's about a young Christian, Syrian woman who survives horrific terrorism and escapes to NYC to start a new life. Her dedication to helping the Syrian people while a student at Columbia leads her to two men (a Mideast activist and an affluent professor) who have very different agendas but the shared desire to bring her into their lives. It's the first of 2 books, the 2nd coming in March. Highly recommend.

Next up: Julia Quinn's new release and then The H and The H!!
