Anna Hey, all! It seemed like you all enjoyed the haiku writing challenge last time, so here is a similar one!

You are allowed to write your poem about anything you like so long as it follows the group's rules. You can write one about the picture, but you can also do something completely different that has nothing to do with it. Please do not re-enter a poem/haiku from last time or it will be disqualified.

description

1. Do not steal someone else's haiku and enter it for your own.

2. Please give it a title.

3. This contest starts NOW (3/8/20) and ends in a week (3/15/20).

4. Haikus are allowed as well. Write it like a poem, NOT a song.

GO!!

Zakle | 2 comments Troublesome Thoughts

A song is sung in dead of night,
Soft in morbid delight.
Every deed you ever did wrong,
Written on the bathroom wall.
Above your head,
And in your ear,
It whispers all the fear,
As you fight to hear,
The lullaby that kept you here.
You close your eyes,
Struggle to think,
What is that on the sink?

The sun is breaking,
You are waking.
As you breathe,
You closed the door,
You faced the fear,
You are here.

You have won.

Laura-Lee (lauraleewashere) | 49 comments Here is my entry in another enjoyable Rubical competition. I based it on the picture of the little girl looking at the mountains.

SMALL FEELINGS

Oh, Lord, I am so small
Can you see me at all?
I see the mountains loom.
I can sense my doom.

They are far away
But they will come someday
The fear inside grows
As I look down the road.

How can I possibly climb
When the strength I cannot find?
And looking for the way
I lose the joy of Today.

"My child, do not fear.
For I am also near.
The path you will find
My peace will guard your mind
You will traverse any length
Because my joy will be your strength."
