Write about what you love and how you feel about it.
What do you not like? Write your opinion!

My writer friend Fiona Everton said to me, " When writing a book write about something you love. When you write about something you love, you have more ideas and feelings for the book which wants to keep you going. Never stop writing. Let your hands bleed at the typewriter."
I hope it helped!

Does anyone have any tips on trying to figure out where your story is going? I usually write like, writing samples but this one sample has kinda evolved and I don’t know how to plan it out. I could seriously use some tips on how to storyboard.
TAKE BREAKS! Feeling writer's block? Don't get frustrated, take a break. It helps. Also usually keep a snack and/or drink with you, and sometimes music or an animal nearby helps too. Also be in a place that gives you inspiration if you need some. (I know this isn't helpful, but I tried :))
Hi guys! I'm new to this group (I joined like ten minutes ago) but I have a few writing tips or at least suggestions to help...If I want to start a story but don't know how to start it, I usually go to a book that I read and liked. Stories need to start in intriguing ways to hook the reader and so by looking at a book that does that, you can loosely base the first sentence or few off that book (like if it starts in an action packed moment, use that for your book, or if it starts with dialogue, do something like that).
Another tip is to keep track of your characters, though I'm sure most people do this already. Make a place (like a notebook or another doc if you're writing on the computer) to write down all your characters and who they are. This might seem time consuming and boring when you could be writing your story, but it's good to know who your characters are!Another reason I use this is kind of ridiculous...sometimes if I add a very minor character into my story, or a character's last name, and then want to reference/use the name later in the story, I used to forget what the name was and since my stories are over a hundred pages long (on the computer) I don't want to go back and search through the story to find the name again. So I started doing this.
Huh. Smart. I think I'll use that for now on. Thanks!
