Reading the Chunksters discussion

This thread is for discussion of chapters 15-18 in Book 3. Discussion is scheduled to take place April 15-21.

I’m finally starting to feel that some threads are getting wrapped up.

The kidnapping of Komatsu by Sakigake and them telling him to just not publish anymore books seems a bit easy of a resolution there. Although there is still the issue of Tengo writing his novel in the same world, so what is to happen if/when that is published?

I liked the similarity of the two moons to the maza and dohta, I don’t know why that hadn’t dawned on me before.

I finally feel like something is starting to happen in this book again. I have felt it was quite stagnant for the last two sections we read.

I wonder if what Ushikawa ha to check before leaving the playground was seeing two moons in the night sky possibly??

I feel like there is a lot of significant information about Fuka Eri that we don't know. Is there more to her real role in Sakigae than we have been lead to believe?

I do agree the kidnapping and release of Komatsu does seem strange. Although it may be one of the few ways they could get the book to not be further published/distributed.
