Reading the Chunksters discussion

This thread is for discussion of chapters 10-14 in Book 3. Discussion is scheduled to take place April 8-14.

So who is this NHK collector that keeps coming to bother Aomame and Tengo’s apartments? Tengo thought it was his father, but he came and bothered Aomame even after Tengo asked him to stop. And Aomame assumes that Tengo is the father of her baby. That’s a big conclusion to make. It seems everyone has these wacky ideas, but they all seem so normal to them. I guess because they know they are living in this other world?

I have to say, though, that at this point in the story I find myself losing a bit of interest. I just want something big to happen already!

I'm with you completely Linda. Something needs to happen and that everyone seems to come to conclusions about what is happening in a very strange world and accepting and getting on with it without to much stress and concern. Where are the big freak outs that we'd all be having? I'm hanging in until I get to the end but I am slowly getting further and further behind as my interest wanes.
