Ms. Lyons AP English discussion

I have purposely progressed slowly in this book. My enjoyment has risen while reading because magical descriptions have increased in number and gracious detail. The plot tropes seem a little cliche. The super scary guy falls for the one girl that everyone discriminants against (the love in this story has no real grounds and feels sort of random, but I guess love is just as random). The sick girl feels so much better after realizing that she has been suppressing her powers. When she releases her powers, she suddenly becomes more attractive and healthier. It is entertaining but common.

From what I’m hearing it seems to be a great read so far. But what could possibly make this novel better for you if you could change something ? From

Does the cliche make it a bad read though? Would you recommend me to read this book?
