So, I just finished chapter 3. I'm not sure if it is the writing itself or what but I'm struggling to get into this one. The action is starting to occur and I have some questions already... (view spoiler) I'm not sold on this one quite yet; could end up being my first dnf of the year.

I'll give it the first quarter and if I'm not in I may not finish. Hopefully it picks up though.
Just started today, didn't get to read much, but trying to read more male POV books so excited to get more into the story :D
If I wasn’t halfway in I’d prolly do the same. Honestly it’s just highschool drama and cliques with a different set of circumstances. Still not even clear if it’s just them and their school affected 🤷🏼♀️🤦🏽♀️
I only made it 20% in so don’t feel like it was too big a waste. Problem is I just came off a five book series I forced myself through in February and March that I hated and I just can’t with this one lol.
aw i liked it, and the ending really makes me want book 2 so i guess i'll be moving on to that one by myself :/

A year later, McKinley has descended into chaos. All the students are infected with a virus that makes them deadly to adults. The school is under military quarantine. The teachers are gone. Violent gangs have formed based on high school social cliques. Without a gang, you’re as good as dead. And David has no gang. It’s just him and his little brother, Will, against the whole school.
