Bag of Bones! I loved that book, but it was actually the last of his that I read for years. Nice.
As far as exceeding expectations: this book that I started yesterday! Six of Crows; it is a Buddy Read. I have read one book by the author, but this one smokes it.
I finished Tiger Lily this morning and I was actually very disappointed :( I've never read A Court of Thorns and Roses and that is next on my list.
I have started Where we belong by Catherine Ryan Hyde. work has been so crazy. im really looking forward to the weekend and snuggling down to read. sigh... hows everyone one else doing?
Well done on the books, Jessalyn! I fell "behind" again today, but I had lots of Mothering to do for my adult Babies. It all came down this evening, as expected: we are ordered to stay home until 19 April, although there is the expectation that 58% of California will be infected by May. I have my books, my crocheting, my exercise supplies, and some academic and work goals; I doubt I could even get it all done in the month.

Kat wrote: "I finished Tiger Lily this morning and I was actually very disappointed :( I've never read A Court of Thorns and Roses and that is next on my list."I enjoyed Sarah J. Maas' writing and was wondering whether or not to pick that series up

In Bulgaria we have name days where we celebrate our names and their origin. I had forgotten mine (and my grandma's) was yesterday but mom still managed to make us feel a little bit festive. Unfortunately I've been having depressive thoughts and trouble sleeping. Hopefully being productive today fixes that.
I really hope everyone is coping in their own way. The good news is that China has been doing extremely well and their quarantine will be ending soon. That's some good news that will hopefully make you guys smile.
Have a great day, everyone!

So I’ve started Stephen King’s Bag of bones today and managed to finish Murder through the looking glass. I expected to not like it as much but it was a nice surprise.
What books/stories/series did you not expect to enjoy but actually exceeded your expectations?
