Global cases: 243,000
Deaths : 9,800

Please, please practice social distancing
6 feet

This is not a joke

Italy is a developed country and yet their mortality is the same as that in China though their cases were about 50 percent less. (80 K vs 41 K) One town within Italy that practiced social distancing, brought their number to zero.

Let’s learn from other countries

We are all in this together

It’s a war

The enemy is invisible

Don’t be on the enemy’s side

Of course have faith and pray but remember that God wants you to jump out of a burning building.

Right now, social contact is a burning building and not jumping can mean that you or your family member or several family members can die.

Be responsible
Break the chain
Flatten the curve

Helen Khan | 9 comments Social distancing is important as is washing hands with soap and water. One of the reasons South Korea stemmed the rise in COVID-19 so quickly is because of their very vigorous testing program. It takes responsibility on the part of all of us, citizens, medical services and government authorities. We all need to do our part. But at the end of the day, there is hope, China and S Korea are two countries that are seeing the tide turn.

I hope that they find some cure for it real soon...

W China and South Korea have implemented strict, even harsh isolation measures. In Pakistan, social distancing will be a lot harder to achieve as people live in very crowded conditions, especially in poorer localities and slums.Hygenic conditions in such localities are abysmal.

W With the number of cases increasing by the thousands each day,now the lockdown has been paradoxically eased.I'm pretty sure this decision will be reversed soon, but by then a lot of damage will already have been done.

W Also, there really seems to be no coherent policy. One thing is being done one day,and the complete opposite the next. And there is all this talk of "smart" lockdowns, which aren't all that smart.

W From a column by Zahid Hussain in Dawn :
"What lockdown or smart lockdown ? It's now a free for all. What restrictions ?"

Shabana Mukhtar (shabanamukhtarofficial) | 184 comments Imagine India's situation, being the second largest populous country. The city I am from is second worst hit in India. I am living in the red zone. And yes, rules change every hour. Every time I step out, I hear a new set of rules :-(

Shabana Mukhtar (shabanamukhtarofficial) | 184 comments We're on lockdown 4.0 and I am confident that it will be extended further. Our Eid was just us - me and my two siblings :-(

W All hotels and tourist spots in KP sealed again, after allowing the full fledged return of tourists.Infections have spiked, this was very preventable. There was no need to resume tourism at this point, the danger has not passed.
