This new section is specifically to support members during the special measures being taken by our governments across the world to contain and minimise the impacts of this virus.

Please do not spread scare stories or unsupported health information.

PLEASE DO offer ideas for activities, resources, links to online chats and schooling, etc.

Although I’m tempted, please do not promote special offers on your own books, but do put these in the ’Giveaways and Discounted Books’ section.

I will say that Smashwords is running a site wide sale with books on virtually any topic (set your preferences to filter out adult content!). You may find some good things for your (and your kids’) e-readers there.

Keep well and stay safe. But don't follow your Mod Rebecca to Antarctica. You don’t have to go to that extreme!

Well, it's September, and the kids in the UK are going back to school, mostly.

How is it in your country?

Should we keep this section open or has it had its day?

I could archive the whole section and it would still be accessible if you wanted to look at it. We don't seem to have had any action on it for a while now.

Hello Ms Jemima.. :) I haven't taken part in discussions in awhile as I've experienced heart failure, likely due to having caught covid-19 early on, and didn't know it.

Here in the U.S.... things are just plain weird as far as school goes. Because our state, county and local are doing school matters differently from one area to another, grandchildren started school out on hybrid, which I could not partake in, due to personal health reasons, eh? Now they're going back full-fledged. Don't know how long that will last as the high school has already been shut down, with how many cases we don't know.

I sure do miss teaching the sprites full-time at home, and knowing they were safe and my family safe as well. So, do please keep these topics open if you can, because well.. U.S. is lagging behind everyone else, and likely to well into Spring.

Blessings and warmest thoughts to you in the U.K. :)

Justine Laismith (justinelaismith) | 348 comments It does looks like we have got used to different way of living with COVID. I think we are trying to get back to ‘normality’ and even if local lockdowns do occur, people already have an idea of what do. So yes, archive it?
