Deb Mcpherson I read "Hell House" by Richard Matheson for this selection. This was an author I had never read before, which was good as I wanted to try someone new. I used to read horror selections quite a lot during my teen years, but haven't for awhile. I must say I was pleasantly surprised by this book. It was suspenseful without being too gory. He caught my interest in having a haunted house and using different groups trying to prove or disprove life after death. I would read other books by this author again, if I found myself in the mood to read this genre.

Deb - glad you found a winner and an author you can keep coming back to!

Kathy I finished Anno Dracula by Kim Newman for the horror category. Surprisingly, it was a fun read! Many of the characters were characters from other literary works. It is set in Victorian England where Dracula has married Queen Victoria. All kinds of chaos ensues!

Natasha | 12 comments This is a hard one for me. I finally found a book though. Just started Delores Clairborne by Stephen King. Wish me luck as I avoid scary anything.
