I just finished my fantasy pick. It was Akata Witch. It's set in Nigeria and it reminded me a lot of Harry Potter. I believe a sequel will be published this year and I'm definitely looking forward to it.

Finished The Ocean at the End of the Lane. I enjoyed it more than I expected.

I am going to read The Smoke Thief by Shana Abe. I am unfamiliar with this author, however I am intrigued by the fact that the book cover says that it is fantasy/romance/historical.

I finished The Smoke Thief. I was not impressed. It read like a cheesy romance novel. She started with a great concept, humans who can shift from smoke to flying dragons, however she got too bogged down in the dimestore romance.

Finished Before They Are Hanged by Joe Abercrombie, book 2 of the First Law Trilogy. Great series!

Just finished American Gods by Neil Gaiman. A story about ancient Gods set in current times. Good book, but pretty long.
