Who would think that lies would be dangerous, or even deadly? In Perdido Beach a boy named Edilio was digging holes when he noticed and that there was an overly sized burrow that of which he didn't make. There were scratches on the sides of the hole. Edilio noticed the unbelievable; some came out. He runs to tell the council that someone came out of the hole he had dug days before. At the same time Drake, Sam's nemesis, returns from the dead and walks the earth, and may of the kids in Perdido Beach saw him. Now the only way to keep kids from freaking is to tell them its all a hoax. Will they believe the council, or is all a real nightmare, for Sam and everyone with in the city? I truly like this series! Its hard to put down novel. Its a novel that combines suspense, action, and sci-fi. Stephen King said "I love these books" and I have to agree with him! I recommend this novel and series to teens who like fast pace battles between good and evil. Other books from the series are Gone, Plague, and Hunger. They were all written by Michael Grant. Lies is the best book so far compared to Gone and Hunger, the series gets better with each book.
