Dubbed the ‘human doll’ by the media, male model December Storm regularly receives plastic surgery to enhance his looks. He is the founder of a modeling agency called HeadTurners, and regularly appears as a guest on two TV shows – Stitched, a medical reality show, and Sinthia’s Cabaret, a talent competition for drag queens. He quickly becomes one of America’s most popular, compelling celebrities.

But December’s life soon takes a dark twist. Beautiful young celebrities are dying, one by one, and all are associated with the two shows. The murders are diabolically orchestrated so that the victims are subjected to extreme bodily destruction. A private investigator is hired to look into the murders, and it becomes clear that December needs to beware.

He might be the next celebrity to die.

Mark McLaughlin’s fiction, nonfiction, and poetry have appeared in hundreds of magazines, newspapers, websites, and anthologies. HUMAN DOLL: A NOVEL is the first solo novel by Mark McLaughlin, Bram Stoker Award-winning author of the story collections, EMPRESS OF THE LIVING DEAD, BEST LITTLE WITCH-HOUSE IN ARKHAM, and HIDEOUS FACES, BEAUTIFUL SKULLS.
