Yolande (sirus) If no group read for Obasan materializes I think I will read it on my own. I'm interested in Japanese lit and that title is calling me. I'm finding so many new authors to explore in this group :)

Jonathan Peto (jonathanpeto) I read Obasan in college. Don't recall any details but do remember enjoying it...

Chinook | 29 comments I read in in high school and have always thought of it as Canadian Lit.

Ah of course, she was born in Canada. I didn't check her bio, just assumed from the name. I should always check first since names don't always refer to country of origin :O

Yolande, I would like to read this at some point though I'm not sure when. So far I seem to be quite busy for the next few months. Don't wait for me if you have free time.

Yolande (sirus) Sue, I'm not in a hurry and can read it any time from April, except for July.

Yes, me too! There are just so many books that I don't want to miss out on.

Luke (korrick) I've read Obasan already, but I'll stick around in case anyone wants to read the sort of sequel Itsuka after the group read.

Chinook | 29 comments I didn't know that existed. A copy is on its way to me.
