Pen name of Ethel Florence Lindesay Richardson, an Australian writer. Best known for writing The Fortunes of Richard Mahony, a trilogy, and also wrote The Getting of Wisdom, The Young Cosima, and several collections of short stories. I'll be reading Richard Mahony sometime this year, if anyone else is interested.

I'm definitely interested!! I've had this on my shelf for years, and being an Aussie, should have tackled this one long ago. I read The Getting of Wisdom many moons ago and remember it with fondness, so am expecting big things from Mahony.
I would love to read Richard Mahony, but probably not this year. Who knows, I may change my mind and join you. I didn't realize this was a woman writing under a male pseudonym!
With all the other group reads organizing, I don't want to add this to a schedule right now. Might just pick it up when the mood strikes or wait for someone else's cue instead.
Probably a good idea Jacob. I'll give you fair warning when if it looks like I'm getting close to picking this one up. Probably in the latter half of the year.(PS. the buddy read you mentioned of Poor Fellow... also sounds good.)
