I would also like to add that I gave this book a 5 star rating. It was well written and engulfed my thoughts while I was into the story. Not long after this book, I came across another drunken female character in another book and it began feeling cliche. Why make the main female character a drunk? Is this the only flaw we can create for these characters? I'm all about the anti-hero but drunkenness feels too easy. Is it just me?
After reading the reviews I was not expecting to enjoy this book. Surprisingly, I did. Maybe the fact that I have spent much of the last 11 weeks of pandemic house quarantine gazing out my window made the timing for discovering this book perfect. I agree many of the “secrets’ were obvious, tighter editing would improve the story, and even in Annn’a ‘buzzed’ state as a professional (psychologist and computer user) she did miss too many clues. But I enjoyed meeting the characters and going along with each of them of their adventures. Now I am on my way to close my shade :)
I started this book and got bored with it! After reading the reviews you two made, I'm going to try again. I listened to the audiobook and I think I had issues with the narrator, maybe? I will try again and post later!
That's interesting. I am new to audio so must confess I both listened and read. Cheating? Promise I'm all audio for next selection. I would love to hear how others reacted to this title's narrator.
Barb, you know me, that's not cheating! Listening / reading / listening while reading... it's all good!

Also, I called the twist early on. I don't want to ruin it for anyone who hasn't read/listened to this book yet, but I thought the twist was too predictable. It was well carried out, but predictable. Maybe others don't agree? Please tell me.
