La Tonya Jordan is inviting you to a scheduled Zoom meeting.Topic: Virtual Silent Book Club
Time: Mar 30, 2020 05:00 PM Indiana (East)
Join Zoom Meeting
https://zoom.us/j/259312051
Meeting ID: 259 312 051
In the silent book club everyone brings their own book or E-reader and reads together quietly for an hour, then we all nerd out about books afterward.
We kick off the meeting with a quick round of introductions where everyone says their name and a little about what they're reading. We love hearing about what people are reading (often in their other book clubs).

Or if I can't read it because either the type is too danged small for me to see and decipher or it's in a language like Flemish (which I can't read to BEGIN with) and there's no freaking English translation available... .
In other words, far too often.
The situation I spoke of where the font was too small to read or decipher AND it was in Flemish really did happen to me.
The aforementioned book in Flemish had also been published in the 1930s, but was in pretty damn good condition for a book that old...90+ years old!
I got an audiobook from Netgalley and of course they do not let me get a sample of the narrator. I barely got through 2 hours of the over acting, over pronouncing of every syllable. It was awful. I feel like if they gave me the book to read, it might be actually decent.

Sorry the late response, I did not see your message. I have a bad habit of not looking at the group on my app and only go on the group when on a computer.
I was at Barnes and Noble just today and saw this book was in the newly released table so I hope for those reading the novel, its better than my audiobook experience!
It happens, Lesley. I have a smartphone but removed my Goodreads app when I could no longer remember my original password...not to mention that I only get 4.5GB of data a month and Belleville, IL. has very few places with FREE WiFi that DON'T require passwords... .
Hello Everyone, Can someone come up with a group theme for November 2021? It will be so valuable to me. Enjoy Reading, 📚
I’ve always loved reading books where the hero fights against the odds and somehow manages to win, maybe that’s why thrillers and epic novels are my top picks. In the same way, when I’m not diving into a good story, I’ve found myself playing online and https://pickem-mongolia.com/review/me...turned into a surprising favorite. Living in Mongolia, where long winters make you search for something engaging indoors, I noticed that the sense of victory in Melbet feels similar to finishing a great novel—you carry that small spark of triumph with you, and it keeps you motivated for the next challenge.

Enjoy Reading,
La Tonya 📚
