i did and yes it was any good.she has a way of wrapping you up in it.it started a bit slow for me but i liked it after all.
Definitely started a bit slow....but a good book overall. Didnt really enjoy the intersperesed indian legends.
This is one of the worst written books I have ever read. It is not believable, nor does it ring true. The author mentions Malibu several times and says there are "torrential rains" Is she kidding. I have lived in Malibu for 35 years and there have only been torrential rains maybe twice. It is not the type of rains we get. I felt like she was reaching with the story, the characters and everything. I kept reading only because I don't like quitting a book once I start reading it.
I think this one was a little far-fetched but I really enjoyed it and I loved the Legends scattered throughout.
Personally, I think this is the worst of Picoult's books. That may just be because I don't like the subject matter and I don't like how weak Picoult makes the main character.
This is my least favorite of her books. Just about every one of her books is a masterpiece - this is the only one I felt really fell short. It is one of her earlier works - she has improved greatly since then!
I wouldn't say it was absolutely terrible. It was an ok read, however it lacked the depth and beauty of her other novels.
