Macy (maggieviolet) | 5 comments Diamonds'n Skittles

"Like sunlight burning at midnight..." From the moment I heard those lyrics, I fell in love. Last night, I saw them with my own eyes.

Last night, the sky looked like a bag of skittles had pooped all over the dark, satiny sky. Grapes and greens and reds and lemons had vividly exploded into tiny, starry bits.

The colors had been moistened by a little rain earlier in the day, and now they bled together. One melted into another.

the final product looked as if someone had crushed a zillion dollars worth of diamonds and threw them all across the night. I wonder if they got any of the dust in their eyes...

I had to blink rapidly to look up at all the twinkling diamonds in the beautiful night sky. The twinkling lights made my eyes water and I thought of my God who created such a masterful work. And Who would have created it still if I would be the only person who would ever see it.

*baaazing* I had an idea!

I ran inside and rummaged through my stash. I grabbed the red baggie and raced back outside, sliding onto my back, and landing on the ground.

I ripped open the bag of skittles and dumped them in my mouth, so I could taste and see the wonder of the Lord's creation ;)
