Nils Krebber | 208 comments Hi guys, as Rob pointed out, Peace talks has a trailer an a first chapter reveal.

Now it has been a fine long time since I read the last installment and admittedly did not catch a lot what was going on there. Has anybody done or seen a breakdown?

The first chapter reads very nicely, by the way. Very Dresden-y opening, with multiple problems heading his way all at the same time.

Rick Have you read the whole series? Because really, Peace Talks seems to assume a lot of knowledge with things that went before. For example, (DO NOT READ if you haven't read the series to this point) (view spoiler) and if you don't have that much will not work for you.

Not saying you have to re-read the whole series.

Sky Corbelli | 352 comments Hmm... I should probably update the review song I made of the entire series to include Skin Game at some point before this gets released...

Also, wow, has it really been 6 years since the last Dresden book?

Stephen Richter (stephenofskytrain) | 1666 comments I am on Changes which is #12 and only 3 book away from Peace Talks. I should be caught up. Plus the next book in the series has a Fall release.

Nils Krebber | 208 comments Well I have read them all, but it has been a really long time... So at the very least I will Need some Kind of Cliffs Notes. Before diving in.

Rick Gotcha. Wasn't sure from the first post and I've seen people dive into the later books as their first exposure to the series and been lost.

Mark (markmtz) | 2822 comments Jim Butcher posted a look back at past April Fool's pranks with some freshly minted book covers for the Li’l Harry Adventures children’s book series by Jimmy Butcher. If only...
