COVID-19 Read-A-Thon discussion

Hi everyone! What have you all been up to?
I haven’t been reading today (apart from some mandatory uni work). Have you been working on your read a thon goal?

Today is Shareen’s first day as a moderator 🥳

Dariana and I were discussing time zones and all that, but I just realized that despite my early rising, she is still ahead. One of us will be posting the Daily for our group here.

I bring to you something that I gleaned (pun intended for anyone on the MaddAddam Buddy Reads) from Amanda. This is an activity on another reading site, but certainly able to be celebrated anywhere:

It is called the #24B4MONDAY, and it takes place the last weekend of every month. The objective is to shut down to the world for that one weekend a month, to try to read for 24 hours over Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Participants generally just keep a phone timer running, or add their hours. I used these for studies as well.

If you want to participate in this month's (or any month's) #24B4MONDAY, please direct message me; I will create a separate thread if the demand presents itself. Otherwise, that is what I will be commenting on for these next three days.
