I've read and taught Persepolis, and am up to reading Embroideries and Chicken with Plums. Is anyone with me?:)
I've read Persepolis (love re-reading this) & would love to check out her other books. Will be keeping an eye on this!

oh thanks for that, Reem! Hope you're enjoying it, Paul! I loved Persepolis as a film, Satrapi worked on that too if I'm not mistaken?
Ha, was just saying to a friend last night how Persepolis as a film had the best Eye of the Tiger video montage scene! Also recently re-watched it -- clever combination of light-heartedness and intensity. Might re-read the book after my current read!Curious to see what her other books are like, if the story-telling is as strong in those as in Persepolis.

Thank you, Dhiyanah! It is a very enjoyable read. I look forward to the movie but have been holding it off until I finish my read. So far, it's quite humorous, edifying & very informative. Loving it!

Glad to hear it, would love to know what you think about the book vs. film after your first read/watch -- happy reading!

Thank you! I will surely write a review of the book & in those comments leave my thoughts about the movie, as well. Looking forward to it. The book is riddled with such sorrow & such humor. It speaks to the perseverance of humanity.
