Finished Bag of Bones! Stephen King is my favorite author but a thing I dislike about his writing style is how detailed and long everything is. I'm sure that rereading his works when I'm older I'll be able to appreciate every paragraph, but at this point in my life the important thing about books is their dynamic. Sadly not my favorite, but I still recommend it, the story is so good. Also a freaky little detail I noticed- there was an event in the book on my birthday, and the book is written and published in my birth year :)I read so much today, did a lot of uni work and squeezed in my daily workout. I feel so tired since I woke up at 9am (I usually get up at 12-1 haha) but I did notice having a lot more time to do things and I'll definitely be sleeping like a baby tonight. I'm also wondering which book to pick up next :)
How is everyone doing?

This is the first #24B4MONDAY that I am not using it for studies! I counted homework reading and studying, I also did that for the Sprints a lot. I will be doing that again soon enough for other work.

That was my last King book that I had read, I needed a break after that. I totally get what you are saying, AND appreciate the reminder to get my work out done!

I'm still working on "Freeman" by Leonard Pitts Jr. It's a historical fictional novel about three main characters in Civil War times. I'd like encouragement to be able to finish this book by Tuesday. Isn't that what we do for each other?
OOOH, that book looks good, new genre of interest for me. You want to finish by Monday? How many pages left?
Shareen wrote: "OOOH, that book looks good, new genre of interest for me. You want to finish by Monday? How many pages left?"I want to finish it by Tuesday but I don't think that's gonna be a viable goal. I have 327 pages left but every time I try to read it I end up stopping early because of how tough the book is for me.
I have a 10 page psychology report due by next Friday and I haven't started yet so..... I really really need to start soon!! Clearly, I am the master procrastinator and I need to stop lol :/
Evelyn wrote: "I have a 10 page psychology report due by next Friday and I haven't started yet so..... I really really need to start soon!!"What is the topic for your psychology paper? Just curious.

It's on serial killers. basically, the inquiry question is: " is it nature or nurture that drives a person to murder?" so yeah! I'll have fun with that. maybe. not.
Serial Killers: my daughter plans to study them. One of my other daughters is going into same body of law as I am, so yeah, lots of that here. Use the sprints to make progress, if that seems like it would work!
As far as the book goal for Tuesday, if you hate it, let it go; that is hard for me, but just in case...

I'm gonna put it aside and remember what page I'm on and move on to another book.. I have SO MANY BOOKS from my local library that I could be reading. But I want you all to know I'm NOT a book jumper. I can finish a book. :)
Hahaha, I have two books that I did not finish last year, and I can see them from where my cardio equipment is here at home. I literally OCD on how the first halves are clearly worn, then they go flat.
LOL. And that makes me feel a lot better. But now I don't know what to read next. Also do you know what discord is?

OMGGGG ONE OF MY FAVORITE ALL TIME BOOKS AND SERIES. I am in love with the main character, and I will happily join you if you continue past the third book!

I just committed to a college today and I was so excited and was talking to my roommate for hours, that 24 hours isn't looking too good right now lolll.
AHHHH! That is so excitingggg! Where/ what... YAY! I just went through that with three of my kids (close in age), so this is a big deal to me. CONGRATSSSS!

That's such a cool topic, wow. What's your stance on that if it's not a secret?

O.W.L.s is a read-a-thon hosted by Book roast (based on the magical world of Harry Potter)- there is a topic in the discussions with some more info. The idea is to "pass classes" by reading books with different descriptions. For example to pass care for magical creatures (excuse me if it's wrong, I read those books so long ago) you have to read a book with a phoenix, dragon or other animal on the cover. It's a cool way to interpret different books from your to-be-read pile into read-a-thon that you maybe wouldn't normally pick.

Congratulations! I hope you have fun- bio majors are difficult but so intriguing! I'm in my third year of biotechnology and all my colleagues from biology are having a blast. I don't mean in a college party kind of way, I mean studying things they're truly interested in.
Chemistry and physics is a big part of it (and oh my god, I have so much of that) but it adds to the magic of how each bit and piece tie up in an organism to make it work.
You're gonna have so much fun studying!
