Belle is a very intellectual girl. She loves reading, knowledge, and learning new things, but also hates ignorance--and when other people are ignorant, although she's smart enough to be polite about her dislike and/or discomfort. While Belle is quite pretty (her name even means beauty), looks have never been overly important to her. She's not hung up about what she's wearing, nor does she care about the appearance of others. Belle is also quite clever--while she does read a lot (too much?) and a lot of those novels are young adult, she's book smart and can think on her feet. Belle can solve problems easily, and she can come up with something to say in almost any situation. She's not good at keeping secrets or hiding her emotions--with Belle, the truth is plain in the open, and her feelings are an open book--as long as a person is capable of understanding how she feels. She's used to people not understanding, however, and while it gets lonely at times (as Belle doesn't have many friends), she's perfectly capable of managing on her own.

Once upon a time, in a faraway land...

Belle was born in a small town outside of Paris, called Boulogne-Billancourt. She and her father were always sort of outsiders from the community, and Belle never had many friends. But that was alright with her, because she spent all of her time reading anyways, or helping her father try out his latest inventions. When she was twelve, she decided to learn english as a second language, and when she was fifteen she participated in an exchange program to the United States. She went to California and has always wanted to travel more. So, after high school, she decided to put university off for a year, and is taking that year to travel and see as many places as she can, starting with visiting her previous housemate in California--and maybe visiting Disneyland while she's there.

personality : Ella is a genuinely kind person. Her joy comes from helping people — it pays off, and is incredibly rewarding. history : All the memories that Ella has of her mother are faded. She was only five when her mother died, but of a few things she is certain: she is the spitting image of her, and she made the best chocolate-chip cookies, and she had a certain gentleness in everything that she did that simply could not be replicated. But even without her mother -- even though she's always wondered how her life could be different had her mother not been diagnosed with cancer -- Ella had a lovely childhood with her father. It wasn't until she was eleven that her father remarried, and... that's where things started going downhill. She knew that her father only wanted the best to her. And because he could be deployed at any time, he couldn't just leave her with no one to take care of her. So he married _______, and at first, things weren't so bad. Ella was never close with her stepmother or stepsisters, but didn't have any major problems. But then her father was killed in action, and everything changed. Her new family became cruel. And since then, Ella has suffered their abuse.

HISTORY⇒

Lady’s family comes from old money, having immigrated to the United States from Kent for business reasons in the late 1700’s. They began in the oil business but quickly expanded to a multitude of other trades. Erika and James Dearing met at Stanford and were truly a match made in heaven, leaving behind a reputation of perfection. Their first child is Charlotte, who gained her nickname from the multitude of relatives and business associates referring to her as “a sweet little lady.” They eventually took the liberty of shortening it to just Lady.

Leading a charmed life, Lady began her education with two private tutors, one from Scotland and one from Alabama, both highly recommended. It was rather easy to discern that Lady was smart, but found her studies tedious. She had a difficult time sitting still and wanted to go outside and play more often than not. That was before her aunt came. Her aunt reprimanded her often, sharpened tongue cutting into Lady’s self-esteem as she informed the girl that she ought to act more like her namesake instead of like a heathen. Lady became significantly less adventurous after that, performing her duties like a proper heiress. When her brother was born, Lady’s parents began neglecting her. They loved her well enough, but a second child took a lot of their attentions away. Having been so spoiled before Rooney was born, the adjustment was difficult for Lady. Because of this however, she became quite self-sufficient.

In her late teens, Lady began to take business classes and expressed her hopes of attending culinary school. Her parents were skeptical, but agreed that if she graduated from Stanford with at least a business degree, she could go to culinary school and they would loan her money to get started. She currently attends Stanford University.

PERSONALITY⇒

Those who don’t know Lady will likely find her weak-willed and far too quiet. However, past her taciturn exterior is a passionate adventurous woman. Her strength isn’t in forcefulness but rather her capacity for kindness and willingness to support her friends. This strength seems to be lacking when applies inwardly, unfortunately. As Lady’s entire family are executives, she feels somewhat looked down upon due to her intent to work in the service sector of the economy. She has a high level of intelligence but often feels inferior to her younger brother and parents. Lady is highly self-conscious about her life choices, but decisive and refuses to let anyone walk over her. Her sense of right and wrong is absolute and she doesn’t often regret any of her decisions. Despite displaying many positive qualities, Lady is highly modest and doesn’t believe in flaunting neither her wealth nor her skills. She did go through a brief period of depression upon being diagnosed with Celiac at a younger age. It’s defined her considerably: none of her makeup, lotion, shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, food, etc. may contain gluten. When she decided to study the culinary arts, it was so that she could open an entirely gluten free establishment that would be safe for her fellow Celiacs. Luckily, her business sense is keen and she’s very determined. If one can get through to her, they might get to see a bit of the spark she had in her childhood.

Originally, Amber was cold, spoiled, and very jealous of her stepsister, Sofia. She acted quite manipulative and even tricked her twin, James, into humiliating Sofia. After a while, Amber apologized to Sofia. Amber soon becomes kinder towards Sofia and others. She still has on to her old vain and spoiled behavior, but she improves. Though she mostly is cold, she can become emotional and a bit violent at times. Amber can be bossy, and occasionally, her selfishness, causes trouble for others as well.

Her mother went missing or died at an early age, so she was raised by just her father, King Roland. Amber, being a princess, was very spoiled. She went to Royal Prep all of her life, and had many friends and was quite popular there.

When Amber was nine, her father married Miranda, who became the new queen. She also got a sister, who was Sofia. Amber immediately disliked Sofia because she thought that she would become a better princess, be more popular, or be more liked than herself. She later grows to accept Sofia as her sister and be a lot kinder towards her.

♛║ Jen is known for her theatrics, and not the kind that can land her on stage. She's the type of person that is comprised entirely of gestures and loud speaking. Jen has a knack for getting booted out of quiet spaces because of this, but that has never really seemed to bother her. Her overall enthusiasm is just something that people get used to, but some suffer through it. Watching paint dry becomes a spectacle all because of her, but there's no stopping that. She's an emotional glass house, so pretty much every emotion on the spectrum is on display at some point. This, combined with her already showy and loud personality, tends to turn things into the most dramatic event of the season. She can't contain herself, so it's only expected of her. She also can't keep secrets to save her life. Probably has to do with her feeling dirty if she knows something everyone else doesn't. People tend to avoid telling her important things.

♞║ Jen was born to a family of farmers in a small village in Germany. Her mother and father, Isabel and Johan, had moved to the country from America, looking for more fertile lands. She's not sure sure of the entire story, but that's all she knows how of how they ended up where they did. Before her came three boys, Marco, Baptiste, and Ferdinand, all of whom treated her like the princess they believed the only girl in the family should be treated. When she was five, she was first given the job of watching the sheep with their collie, Daisy. The two were an excellent pair, and that became their main function. As the years passed, her parents decided that their children needed the best education, and the America they'd left behind had been pretty well off in that regards. So they packed the four children up to stay with their grandparents in Idaho. Just before she was accepted to UCLA, her three brothers decided to head back to Germany, to help their parents. Leaving their younger sister behind to her own devices since their grandparents had died two years prior, Jen decided she wanted to see the Disneyland in California before graduation, and now seems like the perfect time.
