This was my favorite section so far. No more concentrating on the romance. They have more important things to worry about. I love that Quin and Lucy decided to go vampire hunting. I love them. The steerage scene was definitely creepy. looking forward to the big finale.

A lot of action! Totally agree with Mindy'sBookJourney about loving the vampire hunting! Using hints from Uncle Bram's book to arm themselves with hunting supplies! Love Elisabetta's character! What will happen to Abe?? Maybe an upcoming face-off between Abe under Elisabetta's influence and Quin/Lucy? Can't stop reading to find out!

I do like the hold put on the love triangle and the shift to focus on the vampire stuff. However, it seems a little much that our trios families new Stoker and he apparently named the characters after them. Plus the fact that the doctor just immediately believes that there are vampires. I think it would have been a more interesting conflict if they had to hunt vampires AND try to not look crazy in front of the ship's crew members.

Excited to see where it goes after this!

Yea, I was surprised by the doctor's easy acceptance of vampires. It seemed like the author just wanted to get into the action and the character development suffered
